I woke up early and got dressed relatively quickly.
I was heading towards the Great Hall when I heard a couple of people talking.
"-By the sounds of it I think you begged for her to take you." Said a very uncertain voice.
"You don't get it Padfoot. That's what I'm talking about. She actually said I could come. Anyway, I wonder what it feels like to fly on something other than a broom? What does it feel like to fly as an animal anyway?" Said the voice that could only be James.
"I dunno mate. Ask her." Said Sirius, presumably.
At this point they were out of earshot and I started to move on toward the Great Hall at a brisk pace.
I reached the Great Hall in about five minutes, after the part of conversation I overheard, and sat down next to Alice.
"Hey Ali." I said.
"Hey Lil." She said nonchalantly.
Soon, I caught a glimpse of something that was only good from across the table on the right.
"Ooh, Alice someone's watching you." I practically sang.
"It isn't that weirdo from Hufflepuff again is it?" She asked wearily.
"No, you might actually like that he is staring at you." I said, having to suppress a serious case of the giggles at this point.
"C'mon Lil! Tell me!" She pleaded.
"Frank Longbottom." I bubbled, my giggles were threatening to fill my voice now.
"No way!" Alice said, delighted.
"Uh huh!" I giggled.
She looked way to excited and hyper now.
"OK Ali, if he comes over, calm, be calm, be yourself, be calm and cool." I chanted.
She took a few deep breaths and tried to calm down. About five minutes later she fully calmed down.
After another five minutes Frank came over.
"Uh Alice?" He asked, nervously.
"Yes?" She replied, with suppressed excitement, that only those who knew her well enough saw.
"Would you, uh, like to go to, uh, Hogsmeade with me next weekend?" He asked.
"Yes!" She squealed, giving him a massive Alice hug.
He returned the hug and then said goodbye and left.
"Lily! I'm so happy right now!" She squealed.
"And I'm so happy for you!" I said in a voice equally as high-pitched.
"Oh this is going to be the best weekend ever!"
Most of the girls that heard Frank asking Alice out looked at her with pure jealousy.
Frank, James, Remus and Sirius were tied for best-looking-in-Hogwarts. They were all just extremely good-looking. Almost all girls in the school thought, Slytherins don't count do they? Anyway, girls were sure to be jealous of Alice, as she was now going to Hogsmeade with Frank.
"Oh get over it!" I said to them. "Alice is going to Hogsmeade with Frank!"
"Easy for you to say! Everyone knows you don't like him like that." They mumbled.
