"Lily?" A soft but firm voice asked.
"Huh?" I groaned, rolling over and promptly falling off my bed.
The person stifled a laugh and I looked up at them.
"Oh. Hey Alice." I greeted hoarsely.
Alice smiled and helped me up.
"Ugh. What day is it?" I asked her.
"Everyone's leaving today Lily. Want to come with us to say goodbye? Or are you too tired and grumpy?" Alice teased.
"I'll come. But, WOW, the headaches and sore muscles are worth those drinks." I nodded happily.
"YOU GOT DRUNK? AGAIN?!" Alice screeched.
"Duh. How else would I be able to sleep almost a whole day?" I smiled.
"Well, get changed quickly, the carriages are leaving soon." Alice managed a small half-smile back at me.
I grinned and grabbed a pair of frayed denim short-shorts, a white singlet, a grey holey sweater and a pair of tattered white Converse.
I walked into my bathroom and shoved everything on quickly before I headed back into the bedroom to meet Alice again.
"Ready?" Alice offered her arm dramatically.
"Most certainly." I gave her a small smile and looped my arm with hers.
We skipped down my stairs, out of the common room and towards the main entrance.
"Morning Alice, Lily." Marlene smiled.
"Morning Marlene." We grinned back.
"You're certainly recovering from everything well Lily." Marlene send me a pointed look.
"Turns out that V.E.H is a really good drink if you don't want a hangover. It also makes you extremely happy, no matter how you're meant to be feeling." I grinned.
"That would explain everything. And what's V.E.H?" Marlene asked, bewildered.
"That's a secret Marlene, between me and one other." I grinned.
"Riiiiight. Well, we should probably go say goodbye to the guys." Marlene said, turning and walking towards a far carriage.
We followed her, arms still looped and we were still skipping.
"Morning Frank. Morning Remus. Morning Sirius. Morning Peter. Morning James." We greeted, though I faultered at James's name slightly.
"Morning Alice, Marlene, Lily." They greeted, though their tones were slightly colder towards me.
I unlooped my arm from Alice's as she moved to go and hug Frank.
I cast my eyes downwards so I was now staring at my feet and my hair was falling around my face.
'Stupid V.E.H. Wearing off when I needed it most.' I thought grumpily.
"We'll miss all of you over break." Isabelle smiled.
"Yeah, over break." I mumbled.
No one heard me, thank God.
"It's gonna be so quiet, I don't know how we'll survive." Marlene gasped dramatically.
"Yeah." I mumbled.
I felt someone place their hand on my shoulder and I instantly grabbed their wrist and pulled it behind their back in one rapid motion.
"Woah Lily!" The person laughed.
"Chill out! It's just me! Benjy!" They chuckled.
I let go of his wrist quickly and busied myself with drawing pictures on the grass with my shoe.
