So, there I was, sitting quite comfortably on the bench at the Gryffindor table next to James, just waiting for someone to notice the wings, tail and legs, everyone was so wrapped up in their recovered relatives that no one had even put a thought into my appearance... until now that was.

A deafening scream coming from the Hufflepuff table echoed through the Hall, followed by a gasp as they finally noticed.

"What's wrong with Lily?" a shrill voice screeched.

"Other than the fact that Evans is a mudblood? Not quite sure." someone from the Slytherin table sneered.

I felt a growl reverberate from deep within my throat and stood up, getting ready to... talk, not threaten, talk to them, but James gently pulled me back down, telling me in a whisper that they weren't worth it, I begrudgingly attempted to ignore it.

"What happened Evans?" some seventh year Ravenclaw asked curiously.

"I was, uh... experiemented on! Yes! It was terrible!" I shuddered.

All the girls surrounding me started to fuss and worry, I had to almost snap at them to make them stop.

"I'm fine, nothing Madam Pomfery can't fix." I said firmly as I got up and left, walking towards the Hospital Wing, I could easily hear Madam Pomfrey's shoes make a quiet thud as she quickly walked after me.

"That was some good quick thinking Miss Evans, though you may want to stay here for a couple of days to make the story concrete." Madam Pomfrey advised once we were inside the Hospital Wing.

"Urg, fine, I could use the sleep anyway." I sighed as I collapsed onto the closest bed.

"Actually Miss Evans, you'll need to stay in another part of the Hospital Wing, so I can help the other victims. You all need a good meal though, I'll send a few house elves to attend to the others." Madam Pomfrey muttered the last part to herself.

"Alright." I said exasperatedly as I stood up again and trudged after her, tail trailing along the ground noisily.

Madam Pomfrey lead me into an antichamber, telling me it was one of ten seperate chambers for contagious diseases and the like that could harm the other patients.

After I'd changed back to completely human and lay down Madam Pomfrey left to go and help the others, but not without asking me one final question and telling me one last final thing.

"Is there anyone you would like to see Miss Evans?"

"James." I answered immediately and she smiled softly.

"Ah, young love, such a precious thing, don't let that go Miss Evans."

"I don't plan on doing it again, ever."

She smiled again before leaving me with one last groan-worthy thing:

"I'll be giving you a check over tomorrow morning the moment you wake up, just to make sure you're in perfect health, goodnight Miss Evans."

It took me a whole minute to register what she said but when I did I fell back onto my pillows, groaning.

"Miss?" a head peaked over the edge of my bed.

I jumped slightly, clutching a white pillow tightly, releasing it and flushing once I noticed that it was just a house elf.
