Lily was still in the Hospital Wing in her coma and I wasn't with her, Isabelle had made me eat before Remus transformed.
"Why'd you make me leave?" I scowled at her.
"Because sitting there, waiting for her to wake up isn't helping anyone, she'll make it through the night," Marlene replied for her.
I simply scowled at her too and she rolled her eyes exasperatedly.
"Uh, Marlene?" Alice blinked, her attention solely focussed on the Great Hall's double doors.
"Yes?" Marlene answred impatiently.
"Is there any chance you may, possibly, be wrong?" Alice questioned.
"No, why?"
"Because I'm not entirely sure you're right," Alice answered shakily as the doors creaked open slowly.
"LILY!" Isabelle cried as her eyes set on Lily's twitching form, from the sounds of it she was struggling to breathe.
People were panicking and I knew that there was probably not a colour left on my face, nor was there on her friends' and my friends'.
"Poppy! Please help Miss Evans. Students!" Dumbledore turned to us.
"Please remain calm, Miss Evans will be fine, this may simply just be a side effect of what happened, there is nothing to worry about! Please follow your House Prefects back to your common rooms."
Everyone slowly stood up and walked back to their common rooms, everyone except us.
"Professor! What's happening to Lily?" Alice ran up to him, us not far behind her.
"I have said what I know already, Miss Cornwell, however, you may stay in the Hospital Wing if you wish, I suspect it was only a minor burst of energy from Miss Evans.
"Albus!" Pomfrey shrieked.
Professor Dumbledore quickly walked over and my eyes widened in horror.
She wasn't unconscious, but she wasn't conscious either.
"Mr Potter, Mr Black, please aid Poppy in taking Miss Evans to the Hospital Wing," Dumbledore said to us, a tiny sliver of fear in his eyes.
"Yes, Professor," we answered immediately, slowly picking Lily up and moving as quickly as possible towards the Hospital Wing, all the way questioning Pomfrey.
"What's wrong with her?"
"What happened?"
"What's going to happen to her?"
"Why was she out of the coma?"
"What's going on?"
"Will she be okay?"
"Why was she out there?"
"Why did she look like she was dying?"
Pomfrey simply ignored us and when we reached the Hospital Wing she escorted us into the anti-chamber Lily was in before and told us to put her on the bed.
"Madam Pomfrey?" I asked quietly as she started to cast a couple of spells on Lily as well as preparing about three needles.
"Yes, Potter?" she asked, not looking away from the syringe.
"Is she going to be okay?"
"Yes, Potter, I would say Albus was right and this is just a short burst of energy she had, though why she chose to leave is beyond me, in all my years Miss Evans has certainly been one of the smartest pupils, she knew when to stay put, and it confuses me to know that this time, she didn't."
Sirius and I stood there silently for a few minutes as Madam Pomfrey injected the three needles into large veins on the under side of Lily's forearms.
"She's going to be perfectly fine, now I suggest you both get back to your dormitory before it gets too late," Pomfrey said gently as she began to shoo us out.
We complied with hesitation, but the entire way back to the Gryffindor Common Room my mind was alive with fear and hope, fear that she wouldn't wake up again, and hope that she would.
