(U/N) POV
"Max!" I call out to my best friend at school.
"What? Someone tickle your pickle?" My blonde friend replies
"What no, I had the craziest dream!" I tell him
"Oh boy, this is gonna be good" Max says back to me
"Anyway, I had this dream where we were trapped inside of a game, and if we died in the game we died in real life!" I tell him, as I remember my heart beats faster.
"And....you died" I continued
"Who me, dying Hahahaha never!" Max shrugs it off
"Max, you sometimes die on purpose in games, " I tell him
"Are you sure that's me?" Max asks, "because I'm sure it was you" he continues
"Max...name one game that I have died in...." I ask but no reply
"Exactly it doesn't happen," I tell him
"There will be a time where you will die, and if you don't you'll come close," Max says as he playfully slaps my head.
Once he slapped me everything went black again.
I was in pitch black silence, I could see no light. What's happening? I was with Max a moment ago? Wait...was that a memory?
Suddenly I remembered everything, from Max dying all the way up to floor 74.
This must be death, what else could it be? I lie motionless, in this dark silence.
Suddenly I hear a cry, and my darkness starts lighting up. As it got lighter the sobs became louder and louder.
Eventually, I could feel someone holding my body, but I couldn't open my eyes.
The person crying was a lady, Liz probably. I finally open my eyes to see I'm still in the boss room, it seemed that no one else was in here.
Liz was sobbing uncontrollably, she was hugging my lifeless body. Slowly I gained control over it and start to raise my arm slowly. I tried to hug her back with what strength I had left.
It seemed she noticed and moved her head away from the shoulder she had been crying on.
"H--hey," I say weakly. Liz looked like a ghost, but then all the emotions came flooding back. She hugged me once again, and she almost crushes me to death.
"Your ok, your ok, YOUR OK" she yells repeatedly as she breaks down again.
"Good as new," I say weakly as I put my forehead on hers. She continued to tear up.
"I thought you were going to die when you took that boss's attack head-on," she says between sobs
"I had it covered," I say relaxed
"I was worried, really worried, and when you didn't get back up after the boss was killed I assumed the worse" She continues
"Just a scratch," I tell her
"You call 1/100 left of HP a scratch!" She yells at me upset
"Liz I-" I start to say
"You need to think more! What would have happened if Kirito took a second longer? You'd be dead! You'd leave me! You'd leave Jenn, you'd leave the guild! (U/N) please, please don't do it again!" Liz yells angrily as tears run down her face.
"Listen I h--" I try to defend myself
"Look I....I...I lo--love YOU!" Liz confesses with tears running down her now red face
"Liz I-" I start to say before deciding that actions are better than words. I pull her head in and give her a kiss on the lips. At first she was surprised but she slowly sunk into it.
"Does that answer you?" I tell her with my face blushed
"Yeah," she answers as she pulls me in for another kiss
We stayed like that for a while, after 10 minutes someone comes rushing in
"(U/N)!" Jam yells
"I'm all good," I say as my head rests on Liz's lap
"Thank god, I got Liz's message and assumed the worst" Jam tells us
"Are you sure your ok? Both of your faces are red?" Jam continues.
"It's noth--" Liz starts to say before I drag her face down and kiss her again
"Does this answer your question?" I ask Jam
"Come on we should return to the guildhall," She answers with a red face.
"Sounds good to me," I tell Jam
I get up as Liz helps me.
As we walked back Liz and I weren't a single inch away from each other.
