(Cameron's POV)
Two years later...
Today was my 23rd birthday, which means that today was my 3 year anniversary with Rachel.
I got her a bracelet that had the word LOVE on it.
She took me out for dinner and we went to Highlamd Park right after.
I kissed her and said,
Happy 3 year anniversary, darling.
She kissed me back and said,
It's been three years, huh?
Yeah. Three years.
She hugged me and kissed me. She was so beautiful ad sweet.
Rachel, here. Happy anniversary!
She took my gift and opened it.
Cameron, it's beautiful! Thank you.
.........
Here, your presents.
I opened the bags she gave me and inside were new shoes and a pair of pants.
Thanks Rachel, I love them.
We snuggled and kissed for some time until she broke the silence,
Hey, you start.
Uhm... What is your most memorable day over the course of our relationship?
Of course, it's the day we got together, 3 years ago today.
Yeah, me too. Your turn.
Uhm..... If you are in trouble, will you ask me for help?
If you can, then why not?
Great answer.
We spent the night away. After taking her home, I went on my way back to my place.
But, I bumped into a little surprise....
Once I got into the house, I saw huge cardboard boxes lying everywhere. I saw my family putting our stuff in those boxes. I couldn't help myself, so I shouted,
Hey, what are you doing?
Mom was the first to react, she came to me and told me to wait in the dining room.
I did as she said and went in the dining room. Moments later, Mom and Dad came in and sat down.
Mom, Dad, what is going on? Why are you guys packing our stuff?
Cameron dear, we....... we........
We what? Tell me.
We are moving back to Illinois in a few days.
What? But your project, there is still 2 to 3 years left right? Why are we leaving so soon?
Cameron, my project finished early. Last year, there were a lot of newly hired people so it finished quicker.
So you're saying, that we're moving back because there is no more reason to stay?
Yeah.
No. You may not have one, but I do. Rachel lives here and I can't leave her!
Cameron, calm down.
I can't! I cannot calm down. There has to be another way.
There isn't. We're all moving back to Illinois.
