CHAPTER TWENTY EIGHT

(Rachel's POV)

"Miss Levin, you need to leave 2:30 pm tomorrow for the book signing in Austin." Hana, my secretary said.

"Okay, 2:30."

"And the signing will be 3 days from now, so you'll have a day of rest."

"Very important!"

"I'll be at your house at 2:00 to pick you up and head to the airport."

"Okay."

I have a freaking book signing in Austin, Texas!!! Why am I so excited? Maybe because Besides, Illinois and New York, Texas is favorite place EVER!

I left my office very excited for my trip on the following day. Sadly, Cam couldn't come with me. He had an important business meeting in Louisiana today. Did you know that he went back to Dazma Corp after moving in with me? And he got promoted to senior manager too. Rita and Harry were busy too, so I have to go to Austin only with Hana.

I went home all giddy. Rita had made some awesome spaghetti with meatballs, so dinner was awesome. I went back to my room and finished packing. I was staying in Austin for 3 days, unfortunately, so I was leaving the night of the book signing.

I finished packing and then took a quick shower. After drying my hair, I got ready for bed. As I slipped under the covers, I felt lonely. This was the first time ever since Cam moved in that he wasn't sleeping here. He had always been sleeping next to me and I missed that.

Ring Ring...

My phone? I got it and immediately picked up when I saw who the caller was.

"Missing me?"

"Well, Cam, I'll be lying if i said no. How 'bout you? Missing me?"

"Well, we can't be lying at the same time, so I'll tell you the truth, I MISS YOU SO MUCH!!!!!"

"Oh Cam."

"Can't sleep?"

"Yeah, I miss your body next to me."

"Me too, Rachel."

"So how's Louisiana?"

"Great! The meeting was successful but there will be another one tomorrow, we almost sealed the deal though."

"That's great, Cam."

"So, you'll be going to Austin tomorrow?"

"Yeah."

"Sorry, I can't be there with you."

"Nah, it's okay. I know that meeting is important."

"Rachel... I'm sorry, really."

"And I know."

"Well, get some sleep, you don't wanna be sleepy on the way to the airport."

"Yeah, bye."

"Bye."

And I hung up. I stared at the ceiling for a long time, and soon enough, sleep overcame me.

We were nearing the airport. My trip to Austin was so near!!!

"Miss Levin, we're here."

"Yeah."

We got off the taxi and got our stuff. We passed security and then we headed to check-in.

After all the processes were done, Hana and I were in the waiting lounge, awaiting our flight. A few teenage girls saw me and told me that they were headed to Austin for the book signing.
