CHAPTER TWENTY TWO

(Rachel's POV)

Dinner was starting. Their dinner table was a rectangular one with 8 seats. Charles and Haily sat at the two ends of the table. Chad, Chase, and Hannah sat on one side while Cameron and I sat on the other side.

Haily and Hannah went to the kitchen to get the food while Charles started some chit chatting.

So, Chad, done packing?

Almost Dad.

How about you, Chase?

Just a few more things to go!

Great.

Then, Haily and Hannah came out with the food.

After about 10 minutes, Cameron stood up.

Chad, Chase, Hannah, I have an announcement to make.

His voice seemed stronger and more firm.

I won't be moving back with you guys, I am going to stay here in New York.

What? Dad, I thought he could not stay unless he found a stable home.

Oh, but I did.

Really, where?

At Rachel's place. She has agreed to let me stay at her house until I have enough money to get my own home.

Oh, okay.

Chad and Chase started chuckling and it seemed to tick off Cameron.

What's so funny?

Nothing, so you are living with your girlfriend already?

No, not yet. In a few days I will.

Smart as always, little bro.

Of course.

Cameron's pissed off face went away. He had his dignity back. Because of their little brotherly argument, Haily got a little smile on her face.

Oh, my boys have grown up.

We continued eating dinner and finished about an hour later.

When Hannah stood up to take the plates into the kitchen, I stood up to help.

Hannah, here. Let me help.

Oh, it is okay.

No worries.

Well, if you say so.

Hannah washed the dishes while I cleaned and wiped the table. After about an hour, we were done with it.

Thanks for helping out, Rachel.

Oh, no worries. I am kinda used to it.

You do the chores at home?

Yeah. As a child, there were only my parents and my sister. Plus, my sister is 5 years older than me, so when she left for college, I was the only one that could help my parents with the chores.

Oh! Never knew that. And I am an ardent fan.

That is one of the few things that I will most likely never release to the media.

Of course, I respect that. Everyone needs to keep some secrets to themselves.

Sorry for the very long update yet a short chapter. I was out on a vacation because it was my birthday a few days ago, so I didn't have time to write.

This was a filler chapter so there wasn't that much to write about it but I promise the next chapter will be great. Hope that you guys understand.
