CHAPTER EIGHTEEN

(Rachel's POV)

Today is my birthday! My 20th birthday.

I woke up and heard someone breathing beside me. I looked at the person and found out it was Cameron.

Cameron...

Happy Birthday, darling.

Thanks, sweetheart.

He kissed me on the lips and hugged me. Then he told me to get changed and go down to eat breakfast.

On my way down, Cameron stopped me.

Hey. Before you go down, close your eyes.

What? Why?

Just do it.

I did as he said and closed my eyes. First time we did this, he kissed me on the lips.

He led me down the stairs and brought me to the dining room.

Okay, you can open your eyes now.

I opened my eyes and saw an array of food on the table. Ham and eggs, hashbrowns, chicken sandwiches, they were all my favorite food.

Cameron, you made all of this?

Yeah, with a little help from Rita.

As if by cue, Rita came from behind and hugged me.

Happy birthday, little sis.

Thanks sis.

It was perfect. Harry had greeted me while eating breakfast. The breakfast was delicious.

Rachel, how's the food?

Delicious darling. Thank you.

Your welcome.

I finished up breakfast and thanked Cameron once again. But, he told me that he had other things planned.

Rachel, I have to go but I'll pick you up later at 6.

Okay, where are we going?

Shushh.... it's a secret.

C'mon, tell me.

It's a surprise. Just wait.

Alright, see you later.

See ya.

He kissed me on the cheek before he left.

I proceeded with my normal day. I started working on the fourth book in the Seasons series, A Spring Shower.

And by 5:00, I was done with the first few chapters. I went to my closet and looked for a dress. I needed to look cute, I mean it is a date.

I rumbled through and found it. A knee-length light pink ruffly sort of dress.

I went into the bathroom and took a shower. Once I was done changing, I remembered that it was still sort of chilly so I paired it with a sky blue cardigan. I chose to wear my red flats with it.

I dried my hair and put it in nice, soft curls. I then put it in a loose side braid. I finished off my look with some pink lipstick and a little bit of blush. By the time I was done, it was already 5:55. I was so happy that I got to finish early.

After a few miutes, I heard the doorbell ring.
