Zayn did, in fact have a job interview. He didn't want to blow it, but he surely would with his clearly nervous habits. After all, he didn't want to get a text that said Liam had died. He adjusted his suit in the mirror, and glanced at his hair one more time. The rain matched his mood, Zayn didn't feel all peppy this particular Tuesday morning. After one last glance in the mirror, he left his room and went downstairs to get his coffee.

Or not, since he forgot to plug the coffee maker.

I hope there's a Starbucks.

Fuck Zayn, caffeine keeps you awake.

He rolled his eyes and grabbed his keys of his car. His car wasn't anything to boast about, but it was getting Zayn where he needed to go. It was silver and small, but he didn't mind at all. He started up the car, and the familiar hum of the engine calmed him down in a way, and turned up the radio.

"That was Taylor Swift with Blank Space. And now, here's Good Riddance, Time of Tour Life, by Green Day!" A slow guitar started to play, and Zayn felt his heart stop in his chest, and his foot push the pedal a tad more.

Green Day.

Liam.

It wasn't helping that the song was a slow song, and even though Zayn didn't even know the song, he tried to sing along.

But he couldn't.

Instead, he started to cry.

Zayn wasn't a crier, he doesn't even remember the last time he cried. But the tears came started to come down like the rain, slowly, then like a torrent. The tears blurred his vision and so, he pulled over into an empty parking lot, and just cried. He hunched over his steering wheel, and just cried.

He wasn't 100% sure why he was crying for a man who's face he'd never even seen. He did imagine what Liam looked like, and what he sounded like, and what he'd eat for breakfast. Zayn thought these little things about everyone in that chat, it was actually quite cute.

Pick yourself up, stupid. Go to that damn interview.

Zayn knew he should have changed the channel, he knew he shouldn't have forced himself to listen to every single Green Day song they played, because they seemed to be only Green Day. He shouldn't have had tears on his suit as he walked into Impossibilities, the art museum that he always idolised.

Zayn used to not know what he was good at.

But Liam had made him realize that Zayn was stellar at anything art.
