Y/N POV!!

Ruby held onto my wrists as we walked. Abel and Max were having a very MANLY conversation up front, while me, Ruby, and CJ stayed behind. Ruby and CJ were conversing as I was lost in thought. 'CJ is the most perfect looking human being..'

I felt myself lose balance and fall onto the warm concrete. I was so lost in thought that I didn't see a rock in front of me. I tripped over a fucking rock. As I sat on the ground I slowly began to start laughing. It was a little funny. Was I hurt? Of course. Was it funny? Also of course.

Everybody looked at each other, as if it was reassurance to laugh. One by one they all started laughing and CJ gave me a hand to get up. We all stood there, them making fun of me and laughing. I didn't mind, they were laughing with me, not at me.

We were back on our journey down the sidewalk. This time to keep myself from falling again, I started to join conversations. I walked up to Abel and Max. They're very funny and have a Hot Wheels collection, which I think is cool. Then I'd move to Ruby and CJ and chat with them. I noticed that CJ talked more than Ruby, but that was to be expected.

We stopped at one of my favorite fast food restaurants. We were all laughing about something that happened to Max a week ago. We waited outside for a few minutes to cool ourselves down. Once we were all composed we went inside. Max and Abel offered to order for us while we found a booth to sit in. Ruby nodded and took me and CJ by the arm. She walked us to a booth near the back of [food place].

"So, Y/N how's your summer been so far?" CJ asked. My feet tapped the tile as I tried to recall all I've done throughout the summer. I've done nothing then stay inside drawing and watching YouTube.

"It's been OK. Being here with you guys is giving me something to do!" CJ nodded and Ruby smiled.

Abel returned with napkins and Max carried the food. He placed our order in front of us and we all began to dig in. It was good food which came as no surprise to Me. The others were exclaiming about great it was. Bitch I already knew that.

After eating out, Abel, Max, and Ruby walked out of the building first. Cj wasn't too far in front of you. You guys talked tons at the [food place]. You were already starting to feel more at ease with him. He opened the door for you to exit. "Why thank, my dearest Cj.🧐" you said, giving a bow.
"Truly a pleasure🧐." Cj replied. You both laughed at this. You both talked along the way to get ice cream. Cj asked about your hobbies and things you liked. You asked what it was like to be in a band and about things he liked. "Mm, that's actually kinda cool." You said with a smirk. "One day you'll be all famous and I'll be all like, "I told a ya so!" You playfully shoved him. "And what're you gonna do? Work a job that pays minimum wage?" He chuckled. "Mm, I'll think about it." You replied. "What if you got famous with us?"

"Huh?" You looked over at him. "Like you could join our band. Ooh! You could do the photo for our albums!" He cheerfully clapped his hands. "That'd be so sick!" He looked over at you. You kept your eyes on his, never losing contact. "But that'd be such a random thing to do." "No it wouldn't," he gave you a toothy grin. "We've been needing a new vocalist anyway. You could get auditioned by yours truly!" There were literal stars in his eyes at this point. You found it funny how he got worked up over the little things. But what if it didn't work out and you didn't become a vocalist? You would probably work a job that pays minimum wage. He spoke as if he read your mind. "And if the band doesn't agree on you being a vocalist, you could always make the cover for our albums." He shrugged. You slumped your shoulders. Singing was a thing you enjoyed privately. You didn't really want to have to sing in front of people and have them criticize you. It just didn't feel right. "I'll stick with the album covers." You said thickly.

You and Cj talked more about the band and how they were gonna make it big someday. You could see an ice cream parlor not too far ahead. Ruby did mention ice cream in the text.

Ice cream was ordered. You ordered [fav, flavor]. It was actually really good. It was soft and fluffy sort of. It was the best you'd ever had. Just in that moment as you were in thought about the ice cream, Cj plopped beside you. He had chocolate ice cream😮. It honestly looked really good. You were just staring at his ice cream. You really do have staring issues, don't you? He noticed you looking and waved his hand in front of your face.
"Earth to y/n! Anybody home?" You shook your head. You were only able to mumble out a sorry. "You know, y/n, you've been spacing out a ton. Are you all right?" "Oh, yeah I'm good!" You rubbed the back of your neck awkwardly.
"I also noticed you were staring at my ice cream, wanna try some?" Cj asked pulling out plastic spoons. You gave him a questioning look. "Why the actual fuck do you have plastic spoons in your pocket?" He gave a shrug. "I promise you they're not dirty." He chuckled. Still unsure you took a spoon and scooped out some of his ice cream. You felt like you were ascending. You offered some of your ice cream to him. He didn't take too much of it, just a generous amount.
"I'm not one for [fav, flavor], but this is FANTASTIC!"

It was getting dark. You were a little upset because the group was probably gonna disperse after ice cream. But they didn't. They asked if everyone would be all right staying a little while longer. You agreed to staying because this was a lot more fun than you expected. This was nice.

The group was all in chatter about you joining the band or helping out with said band. Ruby was talking about how cool that would be, Abel and Max were figuring out dates you could be auditioned on, and Cj was just asking you if you wanted to join. You were aiming for designing the cover for their albums. Cj kept insisting you become a singer before walking into a little shop. The shop was small, but it was packed full of different things. Friendship necklaces, merch, hair products, anything you could think of. Or most things you could think of. Abel and Max were looking at skateboards, you, Ruby, and Cj were wandering around.
"It's r-really bright i-i-in here.." Ruby shielded her eyes. It was really bright. The walls were glossy and white as were the lights. "Mhm..." you nodded. You were kinda invested in buying something. Half of the shit was really cheap anyway. You stopped on a magnetic necklace. It was a little smiley face, one person got half of the necklace, someone else got the other half. It was cute. You scooped it up and tiptoed away from Ruby and Cj to the cash register. The cashier gave you a warm smile and rang it up. He handed you the necklace and you walked back to the group.
"Y/n, where were you?" Cj asked, putting down a few guitar pics. He gave you his full attention. Damn, he's so hot. "I went to ask Abel a question." He nodded at you and continued looking.

It was getting late and the wind was picking up. You all decided it was time to leave. The town was so bright. There were a ton of colors flashing, it made the city look amazing. You could've looked at the view for hours. Max tapped on your shoulder. "Here's my phone number in case you wanna hang out again." He said grinning. This started a chain. Abel and Cj were handing you their phone numbers. You gladly took them and talked a little longer. Ruby left alone and the guys left together. You turned around and started your journey back home.

"Man, the town's so cool at night.."

Ok, so my writing is shitty. There isn't tons of details in talking for this chapter cuz I didn't want to make it longer than it already is.
