Perhaps, this is why people who've been in loved once always tell that we should never make someone our world.
Although we consider them as home, people are not places. They won't stay where they are forever. Someday, when they finally found what they want and who they want to be- they'll move forward. They would go on their own pace, trying to chase their dreams and live their life just like how they should.
They'll meet new people, try and experience new things, and most importantly, change. It is inevitable, and that's the reason why some people we've known almost forever only remain as memories to us.
I think, that's also the exact reason why some people who love with their hearts are too afraid of being forgotten and left behind. Deep inside, they know how time can change things for they've always been day dreaming of the future. So as much as they can, they try to be remarkable. People can make you remember them through everything- from the sound of the rain drops, the smell of freshly brewed coffee, the warmth of the sun after a storm, or in the twinkling of the stars. They can make you miss them after listening to lyrics of a sad love song, seeing an old abstract painting in a museum, reading a stanza of a poem, hearing a line from a movie, and so on and so forth.
I admit that I am also one of them. I hope that someday, when someone asks you who your favorite author is or if you've already experienced having someone write for you before- my name and smile will come in to your mind. I'm not asking for you to always remember me, but I do hope that even though you already met someone you want to spend the rest of your life with, you won't totally forget about me.
This is why I write. I want to be remembered. I never dreamed of becoming someone's world- but I do hope that I can find a place in their hearts.
I hope that through my writings, somehow, I found a place in your heart.
