It all happens to everyone. We reach up that point where in we think we are all alone, and that there's no purpose for our existence. We love, we get hurt, and so we become afraid and doubtful. But that doesn't mean that that sadness will last forever.
Just when you think you can never be happy again, God will make you realize that you exist for a reason.
Someday, I'm sure enough, you'll meet someone who will bring back that genuine smile of yours. They'll make you feel that you are alive and that you are the best thing that's ever happened to them-- despite of all the reasons and insecurities you may have now in your head.
Someday, when that time comes, I hope that you won't let the bad things ruin the good things. That day, I hope you'll heal from all the things that made you push people away when you actually needed someone to be with you.
Always remember that things happen for a purpose. So as much as possible, don't always close your eyes and heart. Not all people will hurt you.
Look closely. You may not know it, but meeting you could be someone's happiest moment.
