"When I say that I love you, what I mean is that I will love you even if I don't see you for days, weeks, months or even years. Distance and time can destroy relationships-- even if we're not yet together, and I admit that it's hard when I don't have any assurance that we will end up together in the future.
When I say that I love you, what I mean is that I will love you for every man that you'll become. Change is inevitable, and people grow up. And so are you, I know, you will change. Either in a good or bad way, I know that that'll be important for you to find out who you are and what you want, and if who really belongs to your life. I understand that there will be times wherein you won't smile anymore like you used to, that I won't be hearing your infectious laugh, I won't see the same glint in your eyes whenever you look at me, or feel the loving warmth of your hand. But as long as your heart still beats for the same reason as mine, I guarantee you that I'll be with you to listen to all your rants, smile at you whenever you are mad and sad, and cry with you whenever you feel like you are alone.
But..
When I say that I love you, I also meant that I will love you even if you don't love me anymore. That even if my heart bleeds and all I can do is to write it all down through letters, poems, and songs that own a part for you-- that even if you hurt me so bad, I will still consider you as the best part of my life and I'll forever thank you for giving me the inspiration I've always been longing for.
Because when I say that I love you, I really meant that I may not talk about you even if everyone may think that time have already healed my deepest wounds. But I know that I will still think of you every time that I scribble words about love and loss, for when I loved and lost you, I've always been drifting in the middle of those two, undeniably inseparable words."
