"I still think of you. There are a lot of times wherein I still wonder which part in our story probably went wrong, or if the resolution and denouement are somewhat too cliché for us. I just can't seem to stop myself from re-reading our previous chapters, because I know I never liked the ending we always had.
But whenever I think of you and the story you have with her right now, I just can't help it but feel grateful because I chose to be the writer of our own book. I may be sad and perhaps I'll still miss you because you'll always be my favorite story, but I am happy for you. I am grateful that I had the courage to let you go when all I wanted to do is stop you.
Because darling, you made me realize that love alone was never enough. Commitment is important too. And that's one thing you truly deserve-- but I cannot give."
