Before Shauna and I left, we checked to see if Bill, Ash, or Gina wanted to come along. All three of them said no. Bill and Ashley wanted to get settled into the new surroundings, while Gina just wasn't up to heading out there. Which Shauna and I understood.

Shauna and I told Rolie of our plans before we headed out, and Rolie agreed with what we were going to do, "I'm giving you two twenty-four hours. If you're not back by then, we'll go from there. Got it?" Rolston asked us.

Shauna nodded. "Got it."

Then Rolie noticed that neither of us had a weapon. He attempted to hand me a pistol, but I didn't take it.

"Sorry, Rolie. I don't know what the hell I'm doing. I'd probably blow my foot off before anything else," I said.

Rolston laughed. "Okay then. What about you, Shauna?"

Shauna had to think for a second. "Okay. Might as well."

"I'll give you a quick crash course on how to use it properly. Marty, help Dom find a weapon."

I went back into the lobby while Shauna and Rolston headed outside. When I was back inside, I saw Erin being helped around by some of Rolie's men. She saw me, and the expression on Erin's face turned to anger immediately.

"What the fuck is he doing here?" She asked.

"Wait a sec, please," I replied.

Erin tried to break free and stand on her own, but she couldn't. Erin almost fell when her two helpers managed to catch her. "Get him out of here!" She shouted. "Now!"

"Listen, I wasn't with that crew from earlier. Really, I wasn't."

"Go!"

"Ah, shit," I sighed. I turned around and almost bumped into Rolston and Shauna, who darted back into the building.

"What's going on?" Rolie asked. "Erin, what are you doing down here? You should be resting your leg."

"Don't worry about it. What the hell is he doing here?" Erin asked Rolston.

"His name's Dominik. He's cool."

"His crew shot me, Rolie," Erin responded. She kept gritting her teeth and wincing with every move she made.

"Not my crew," I said.

"Exactly," Rolie added. "Dom's not with those people."

"If I was, do you think Rolie would have let me in here?" I asked Erin.

Erin took a deep breath to try and cool off. Then she came around. "Yeah, I guess you're right about that." But I could tell she was still angry.

Shauna whispered in my ear, "Dom, we really should get going."

Rolston heard Shauna, "Yeah. You guys get a move on. I have to get Erin up to speed on some things."

I nodded. "Okay." And then Shauna and I left, heading towards where I last saw Amber.

Shauna and I stood outside the main gate, and we looked at each other. Shauna then examined the pistol she was holding. "Hopefully, we won't need this."

"Yeah, but we do need something that can pass as a weapon," I said.

"Let's go. Maybe we'll spot something along the way," Shauna replied. She started walking without me.

"Shauna, wait up," I said.

"We don't have much-"

"Time, I know. But don't just go charging off without me."
