Andy pulled me away before Tommy noticed the two of us. Andy and I then retreated back into the side street. When we felt that we were far enough away, he and I got up, and took off, running down the road as fast as we could.

"Dom, stop. I need a minute," Andy said, gasping for air.

I kept running, ignoring Andy's request.

"Stop!" Andy yelled. "Seriously, what are you trying to do? Set a land speed record?"

I finally stopped running. I turned around and looked past Andy and saw that we weren't followed by anyone. "We have to get back to our homes, or neighborhood, or whatever the hell you wanna call it. The home base I guess."

"Why? We have to keep searching."

"I have to warn Shauna and the others."

"About what, Dom?"

"That guy back there. The one that killed the dude with the rifle That's Tommy."

"Okay?"

"He's a problem. A major problem."

"Really?"

"Oh yeah. Thank fuck he didn't see us."

"I take it you've crossed paths with him before?"

"Yeah. He has it out for me and Shauna."

"What happened?"

"Long story, Andy."

"Try me."

"Okay. Well, basically, Tommy thought Shauna stole some supplies from him and his group. Andy's crew was much smaller back then. He kidnapped Shauna, and I managed to rescue her as a favor to her friend Jonathan. I was able to get Amber too."

"And let me guess, Tommy wasn't too pleased?"

I nodded. "Did he seem like the type of guy that's pleased back there?"

"Nope."

"We have to take this back to the others." I turned to keep walking, but Andy stopped me yet again.

"Dom, they're probably out and still searching. Andy told me. "They most likely won't be back for a little while. Probably when it gets dark."

"Well, I'll sit and wait for them to get back then."

"Don't be ridiculous. Come on, have a seat and calm down," Andy said, motioning towards the front porch of a nearby house on the right-hand side of the street.

I sighed, "Alright."

Andy and I sat down on the porch and I tried to relax. Which was pretty much impossible for me to do. The only thing on my mind was getting back to the rest of the group and telling them what Andy and I just witnessed.

Andy looked down the street in the direction of the pharmacy, "There's nothing. Nobody."

"That doesn't really put my mind at ease," I responded.

"Yeah, I figured." Andy got up and tried to look into the house's windows. He even tried to open the front door but it was locked.

"See anything interesting in there?" I asked Andy.

"Not really. The place is empty."

"Empty as in nothing inside the place? Or there are no people?"

"Both," said Andy as he sat back down beside me on the steps.

"Where the hell did everybody go?" I wondered.
