"That's exactly why I can't tell you."
"What? Because I tease you? Come on, I do that all the time to everyone. It's my signature trait."
"No, because you won't believe the name behind the story."
"It's a fiction work. It's based on your weird romantic and over-sexualize imagination."
Theia smiled and said, "Everything written in the fanfiction other than the locations and timelines is true events; the characters, the love story, even the sex scenes, all are true and happened."
Eleni cringed lightly and said, "Oh my god, who is it?"
Theia cleared her throat once again and said, "Helena."
Eleni narrowed her eyes, thinking. "Helena Karezi! How did you know her!!"
"Why would I know Helena Karezi? it's another Helena."
"We don't know other Helena besides grandma." Theia blinked fast and looked away again. "No... no... no." Theia shook her head. "Oh god! Why? Why would you do that? You couldn't find any other way to get inspired."
"It wasn't my intention I swear, remember two years ago at a Christmas party we had in Athens, I was trying to write some ideas in my old notebook and Helena sat with me and she asked what I was writing, I showed her, and she hated it... she suggested writing it based on her life."
"And you agreed?! She is my grandma! Your grandma's best friend, basically your grandma as well!" Eleni said loudly.
"I know. It was weird at first, but you know her. She's highly active and has so many stories and... lovers."
"To which extent is the fanfiction based?"
"All of it," Theia said and got a punch on the shoulder by Eleni, who looked disgusted.
Theia's fanfiction was about a young woman throughout her life from the age of sixteen till the late twenties and her journey to find love and herself. Despite the good premise of the story, it is filled with sex scenes and toxic relationships are a common factor in the fanfiction world.
Theia created a fictional version of her favorite singer Aaron Wilson who is the major love interest of her protagonist. "I'm gonna throw up."
"It's not that bad. Her story is beautiful and filled with passion and happiness, especially the love of her life, your grandpa. When I wrote that part; I teared up."
"You ruined their love for me! I didn't need to know how they did it or how she felt! Wait... Aaron is my grandpa!"
"He's good to her, right? When he tried to kiss her the first time after—"
"Just stop please, that ruined the whole thing for me, I hate fanfiction now, and even though I wanna hit you for writing about grandma's wild love life and describing grandpa like that," Eleni raised her hand to stop Theia from saying anything. "I have to admit, I still want to collaborate with you in the new comic."
"I don't think I can. I'm not good."
"You wrote about grandma's love life in freaking detail, and you can't write a fiction love story." Eleni's phone rang loudly. She looked over at the screen and smirked. "I see, you finally remembered me," she laughed. "No way! When did you come back... sure, at ten? Yes... she's with me now, okay, later."
"Who was it?"
"Andreas, he just came back from Paris. Want to meet us tonight, he wanna meet you," Eleni said and winked. "Before you say anything, he still likes you like crazy and still wanna take you on a date."
"No way! I already said no to him before, don't push it," Theia said and grabbed the empty cups and plate and walked to the stairs.
"For god's sake, just give the man a chance. He might be the one!" she said, following her downstairs.
"He's not. You heard the palmist's words. I would meet him when all the signs are there, and I would feel it in my heart."
"She also said, I would be the one who helps you do so, look how many great men I set you up with, just think, maybe he's the one, the palmist said that you already know the first letter of his name."
"Millions of men have names starting with the letter A, it doesn't mean that Andreas is the one." Theia went inside the kitchen, leaving Eleni cursing outside.
Eleni pushed the kitchen door hard and said, "I don't understand your obsession over that palmist! Yes, she said things that happened, but it doesn't mean everything she said is true! Be realistic. Living your life over a fortuneteller's words is just being delusional."
"I'm not! I only have faith that my soulmate is waiting for me. It's not being delusional, it's my heart! I can't ignore my feelings."
"But—" Eleni stopped by one waiter, telling them they opened, and the place packed with customers. "—we're not done yet," she said, pointing at Theia before heading outside.
