His eyes opened to reveal a hazy image. He gradually felt his body relax and become at ease.

Crispy air pushed its way into his nostrils, bracing him. The warm rays of the sun shone into his eyes. His body was floating in the saline water, his gaze was drawn to her as she lay peacefully on a beach chair. As she ran her hand through their dog's hair, resting his fluffy head near her hand. The dog patiently waited for him to finish his swim.

He smiled at the lovely scene, his love, and his childhood pet relaxing beside him. He wanted to swim longer, but the desire to play fetch with the dog and kiss her full lips compelled him to move.

When the dog saw his friend approaching, he ran to him, waving his tail and holding his favorite ball between his teeth. The sun shone brightly in her eyes as she drew up her sunglasses. He caught a glimpse of her lovely eyes and dimpled smile. The dog ran happily to him, his golden hair cartoonish and fluffy.

He let out a loud chuckle as he picked up the ball and began playing with his dog. Both played on the Aegean Sea's smooth sand. she smiled softly at their amusement and closed her eyes again. He needed her touch and wanted to kiss her. He threw the ball far and returned to her, smiling again as she sensed his approach. His heart was overjoyed, and his stomach was churning with butterflies.

He sat down beside her, his skin tinged with electricity. His hand cupped her happy face. She didn't open her eyes, but she hummed when she felt his warm breath above her face and his hair dripping down her chest. He smiled to himself, enjoying how she hummed every time he touched her face.

Before he moved away, his lips lightly brushed against hers. He kissed the diamond ring on her finger while holding her left hand. He was pleased and proud of himself. He aimed to move after a quick kiss on her lips. She clutched his arm, pushing him closer to her, longing for his touch and soul.

"Don't you dare!" She said this while lightly punching his arm. He chuckled and kissed her again, this time deeper and more passionately. He broke the kiss and smiled, taking in her entire smile. "I love you." She whispered.

Searing pain knocked all his senses awake. He can hear faint voices calling his name. "Don't lose it! Keep thinking of her face." The pain intensified, and the desire to cry and scream crept deeper into his soul. "Remember Nadine." The voice was clearer this time, and Eleni's grip tingled and tightened.

It came to a halt. The pain has stopped, but it has been replaced by nervousness and hesitation.

He checked his watch once more. She is running late. His body became tense. He sipped his second cup of coffee. From behind the counter, the waiter noticed him and nudged the barista to look. She smiled and told the waiter to get him something to eat.

The waiter placed the plate on Liam's table, he looked surprised and attempted to refuse, but the waiter simply chuckled and told him to relax. Liam's face flushed and he told the waiter that he was confessing to his best friend and was simply too nervous.

The waiter then took the empty cup and winked, "If she is the same girl, you meet every month and facetime a lot, I'm sure she feels the same." He left Liam speechless. They have met regularly and sat at the same table since they met two years ago in this café and have developed a strong friendship.

It became a running bid among the café employees that those lovely people would get together at some point. It was a beautiful morning, spring in its full glory. Flowers are blooming everywhere, the weather sunny and breezy. His gaze was fixed on his watch and the glass window to his right.

His heart raced even faster; she had arrived. She was dressed in a reformation dress with a white and blue flower print. Her hair was styled in long waves on her back, with bangs framing her face beautifully. She walked past the café sign that read Hakrim.
