Maria started to walk down the stairs once she finished taking all her stuff to exit the hall but then, as expected, even if she wished it will never happen, the two friends blocked her.
"Wo, wo, wo, gurl. Where do you think you are going?" Hyunji held her shoulder to stop her from walking away.
"Lunch, obviously," Maria replied shortly.
"That's the point. We are going for lunch together today." Hyunji exclaimed authoritatively to Maria as Maria started to talk back.
"But-"
"Stop! No buts." Farah quickly cut her off. Maria just sighed since she knew she will never win over these two friends. She then waited for them to finish doing whatever they were doing right now before they started to walk out from the hall.
While walking down the hallway, Maria threw her gaze to the lower ground since she was currently walking on the first floor of the building. She hugged her book firmly in her arms while walking beside Farah and Hyunji that were talking non-stop since they got out of the lecture hall.
Her eyes then met with someone as she slowed down her pace while their gaze stayed connected. She then stopped her track as the person did the same. They stared at each other for a while before a smile crept upon his lips that caused her to feel butterflies in her stomach.
She gulped down her saliva through her suddenly dry throat as she tried to maintain their eye contact, ignoring the fact that she was getting thirsty over blood at that moment.
He then waved at her with a wide smile plastered on his lips, causing her to wave back a little before his friends suddenly called him. She pursed her lips as she glued her eyes on his figure that slowly disappeared within the walls.
"I see that you are getting closer with our famous tennis player." Farah suddenly talked that causing her to flinch due to the surprise of the sudden voice, knocking her eardrums.
"I see that too! He's so damn handsome from up close. Maria and Jungkook would make a great couple!" Hyunji jumped in excitement as she clapped her hands a few times. Farah looked at her in amusement before she pointed her index finger to Hyunji.
"Oh damn, soulmate! We are officially their diehard shippers! RiaKook for life!"
Maria frowned looking at these two friends spurting nonsense. Well, she could never deny that Jungkook was really a good-looking guy and obviously will be the man everyone would die for.
But, she was just doubting her feelings. She did not want to get hurt, never planned to undergo it once in her life. Plus, there's a lot of risks she must take if they ever start to be in a relationship. Especially with her real identity and him being a Jeon. Both of their families were technically despised each other.
