Chapter 28

Jan's POV

"Bye bye Eight!!!" I can't stop smiling while putting my seatbelt on. We spent the day here in the mansion and everything just went well. Now all I can hear is Tabitha's loud voice saying goodbye to her cousin.

"Visit us every weekend Jan" sambit ng Mom ni Ash, she even held my hand while I'm inside the car already. "Promise me that" she said, I smiled and nodded at her.

"Great, alam ko kasing paghindi ikaw ang kinumbinsi ko siguradong hindi pupunta every weekend dito ang isa dyan" nakasimangot na sambit nito at tila pinaparinggan si Ash. Ash just hazed her mom and said, "Mom I'm running the company" he said.

"Mom, I'm running the company nyenye" Tita Cybelle mocks him and we both laugh together.

"BYE BYE EIGHT, NEXT TIME VISIT US IN OUR HOUSE MY DADDY HAS A BIG LIBRARY ON HIS OFFICE!" napalingon kaming lahat ng patuloy na kinukulit ni Tabi si Eight. "I'll think about it" sagot ni Eight dito.

"Tabi come here na, we're going home na rin" sambit ni Ate Louen bago hinawakan ang kamay ni Tabi at pinanood kaming umalis.

"Dad" Ash called his dad to say goodbye before we drove out of the mansion and headed straight home. While we're near our house, I could feel that Ash seems a bit off, parang may malalim itong iniisip kaya hinintay kong makarating kami sa bahay.

"Take a bath and go to sleep" sambit ko kay Eight at hinayaan siyang maglakad paakayat sa kanyang silid.

Ash walks straight to our bedroom, sinundan ko siya doon. He was taking off his shirt as I stepped in, he sat at the edge of the bed and shook his head on his hands. He even sighs and strokes his hair up.

Umupo ako sa kanyang tabi at hinawakan ang kanyang kamay, "Are you ok?" I ask. Instead of answering Ash faced me and hugged me. "What's wrong?" I ask.

He let out a heavy breath before he spoke, "Mom said that they found my real parents already, and they ask me if I want to meet them" he weakly whispered.

Hinagod ko ang kanyang likuran, "Gusto mo ba silang makita?" tanong ko.

It takes him a second to answer and say, "I don't know? Do I need to?" walang gana nitong sagot kaya hinarap ko siya sa aking, hinawakan ang magkabila niyang kamay bago hinalikan ang isa sa mga ito.

"I mean they already left me in the orphanage, right? Why bother meeting again after a long year?" I could sense bitterness with his words. He still feels bad about being left behind in an orphanage and I don't have a problem with that. I know his pain and if this is too much for him, then I will just support him whatever he wants.

"Ikaw, ano bang gusto mo? Makilala sila o wag na lang? Kung ano man ang desisyon mo susuportahan kita" I gently said.

"I don't know, I just want to rest and forget about it" pagod nitong sambit at muli akong niyakap, ipinahinga ang kanyang baba sa aking balikat bago siniksik ang kanyang mukha sa aking leeg.

We stayed like that for a second before we both decided to rest and sleep on the bed.

"Should we spend the night doing something?" Ash asks out of nowhere, I look at him with a smile on my face and ask, "Akala ko ba pagod ka?" I ask and continue checking pictures on my phone.

"I don't know, I suddenly feel energetic? Look" he said, I glanced at him and watched him flex his arms. Umiling lang ako at nagpatuloy sa pagtingin ng pictures, Ate Louen posted some pictures of us together in the garden and it look so good.
