A bath.
I strip all my clothes off, including my bra and underwear, and start the water for a nice and clam warm bath.
As the water runs, I take my phone from out of my leggings and place it on the edge of the bathtub.
After about two minutes, I lean over the edge of the bath and check the water temperature.
Nice and warm. Just how I like it!
I lean back a little and left one of my legs over the edge of the bathtub and then the other so I'm fully in. I sit down in the nice and calming warm water and let all the tense that I feel left off my shoulders, and slowly sink myself under the water.
This is one of the best ways to clear my thoughts.
I know what you're thinking, and no, I'm not trying to hurt myself in anyway by doing this. It just helps me relax.
Some people may find this is not relaxing at all, or even suffocating at most. But, I've been basically suffocating and drowning for six whole years. So, I guess that's why I don't find it in anyway harmful.
I slowly bring myself back up from under the water and right when my face is out, I hear my phone ringing.
I get up and out of the bath and walk over to the counter to get a towel and wrap it around myself quickly and grip my phone off the edge of the bathtub and answer.
"Hello?"
"Hey Alex, it's Sam. I got you in at the Louge tonight about ten minutes away from where you are. I would dress nice because it's very fancy and it pays really good. Aside from that, good luck and you'll do great!"
"Wait, your not going and what happened to 'I'll meet you at your place before I have to go' plan?" I asked.
"Oh yeah, about that. . .I have to leave early, my family says that they haven't seen me in ages and that I'm ignoring them blah blah blah you know how my family is."
I do know how his family is. . .
"But yeah, I won't be there tonight. I'm sure you'll do fine."
"Well, thanks for the pep talk, idiot. Text me the location and what time do I have to be there for?"
"Around 8. And hey, what did you want me to say? You hate when I give you pep talks."
Only because it reminds me of my brother. . .
"True. Okay, thanks Sam. Have a safe flight and text me when you land, okay? I mean it."
"I will, I will. Now go on with your day of being a boring ass person." He laughed.
"Oh I will. I hope you catch an STD well your gone. Bye bestie!"
I quickly hung up the phone and giggle like a school girl for a couple of seconds.
Oh, I know he hates me.
By the time I'm done talking to Sam and having my little moment, it's already 9am.
I have a lot of time on my hands. Meant as well unpack my things.
