Hate. A strong word in my opinion.
Hate is used when you have a certain dislike of a person. Where they push you over the edge so many times that you can't help but hate them.
Were you can't help that feeling come up to the surface and take full control.
Now, disliking someone and hating them are to different things.
I know when I hate something, and when I dislike something.
And I know for a fact, that I hate Ethan Perez.
After Ethan's and I's heated fight, I want straight to my bedroom and started to write.
I really didn't know what I was writing, I just knew I needed to get all of that off my chest.
I wrote down just random words all over the page. Words like 'What do you know,' or 'how I hate you so much.'
They all just came out like word vomit.
I would say I was there for about an hour doing this.
When I finally came back from my anger thoughts, I put the pen down and closed the book. Feeling like a big weight was lifted off of my shoulders.
Like I could finally breath.
But, that didn't last long. like always.
I received a call from Sam telling me that I needed to come with him to some bar down the road from my apartment to 'help him out.'
So, this is where I am now, sitting at a bar waiting for Sam to get out of the bathroom so I can find out what he wants me to do.
Probably help him with some guy or shit. . .
As I look around the bar, I notice that the theme or lay-out is quite modern. Black, dark brown, and white are kind of the main colours going on here.
With a few booths and tables, it's your typical bar.
I turn around and wave the bartender over, waiting until he gets to me to order my usual Ram and Coke.
As he starts to walk away, at the conner of my eye I see Sam coming back.
Thank God. Took him long enough.
When Sam reach's me, he places his hand on my shoulder and lifts himself up onto the bar stool next to me.
Shorty.
"So, what's up? What's the emergency?" I start off, not wanting to stay here long.
"Wow, you really don't want to be here, don't you?" he grins, knowing me all to well.
"Is it that obvious?" I state.
He nods and smiles.
"How about we have our drinks first and then we'll start talking?" He says, leaning both of his hands on the top of the bar.
I nod and wait for the bartender to come back.
After waiting not to long, I get my drink and Sam orders his which is a simple shot of whiskey.
We both click our drinks and suck them down.
Placing our glasses down, Sam turns to face me. I do the same.
I look at him. But, there's something off.
What is he going to tell me?
"Alex," he starts off. "I have some good news, and I have some bad news."
"Umm. . . Okay."
Oh God.
"Which one first?" he says and scans my face.
I look at his eye's, seeing all kinds of emotions running through them.
"The good news, I guess. . ."
I start to play with my hands, trying to clam myself down a bit.
"Okay. . . So, as you know, i'm gay and looking for someone is more difficult then you think. So, um, one night I want to a club, by myself and you know, did what people do at clubs and-and I saw this one guy and-"
I cut him off immediately and pull him into a big old hug.
"I'm so happy for you Sam." I whisper into his ear.
We pull apart and I see tears in his eyes.
"Why are you crying?" I ask and whip his tears away, smiling brightly at him.
"Well, what do you think I'm crying about? My best friend approves but she hasn't even met him yet!" he smiles and laughs.
I join him.
After Sam stops crying and we clam down a bit, my nerves start to spike.
And now for the bad news.
"So now for the bad news. . ." he says and grabs my hands.
"Alex, you know the night that we, you know, moved out of Seattle?"
I nod.
"Well, right after you left, I got a call. I didn't want to tell you about it until I knew it was for sure true. I had to make sure." he says and squeezes my hands a little.
"I got an anonymous call saying that. . .that." he stutters.
"Sam. . ."
He looks at me. And I know that look.
"That they found your brother Alex."
