CHAPTER 6
THE JOURNEY OF THE FELLOWSHIP
“Not all those who wander are lost.”
― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring
At the night before the fellowship started their journey, Elrond talked to the Morneven.
Elrond: Raenaslee... I need to talk to you.
Raenaslee: What is it, uncle?
Elrond: I don’t believe you should go to a dangerous journey, I wanted to stop you but I can’t, it was your choice, not mine. It’s just…
Raenaslee: Uncle, I know that you were worried about me, you were afraid if I die because Sauron wanted to kill me. Don’t worry; you know that they always called me the Elflove.
Elrond: (while embracing her) you are truly the Elflove. What would our lives be without you living in this Earth?
Raenaslee: (when she embraced him) you were like a father to me, uncle. Even I didn’t meet my father, I knew you were like him, and I wish he was still alive so I will be with him.
Elrond: Asador, is always with you, he was very lucky to have you as his daughter, so brave, beautiful, proud and most of all very loving.
Raenaslee: Hannon le. Lord Elrond, did you ever become aware of people calling me Elflove? Why did they begin to adore me more when they called me Raenaslee Elflove?
Elrond: (smile) you’ll know one day. Now rest your head, my niece.
When everyone was asleep, Legolas dreamt about that Raenaslee have been killed by Morellon and Sauron, and then he woke up and that made him worried for Raenaslee, so he went to her room and opened the door, he saw her asleep peacefully, but he doesn’t want her to woke up because he doesn’t want to disturb her sweet dreams, so he just closed the door and went back to his room. But Raenaslee heard him opened the door, she knew it was Legolas but she just closed her eyes, seconds later she was confused why didn’t he came near her, so she rather went to his room and found him asleep, she never believed that he was very handsome when he lay down and closed his eyes, she came near him and waking him up.
Raenaslee: Legolas, Legolas wake up, melon Nin.
Legolas: Beinmeleth.
Raenaslee: I know that you opened my door, then few seconds you’ve closed it, and why is that?
Legolas: I can’t disturb you, for you have a peaceful slumber.
Raenaslee: Why did you come to my room? What troubles now to my dearest friend?
Legolas: It was nothing, Raenaslee.
Raenaslee: Tell me, Legolas, I will understand.
Legolas: I’ve dreamt that the fellowship was fighting against Sauron, but you were fighting Morellon, then the whole fellowship failed and Morellon and Sauron killed you, then they killed me. The last thing I saw was your corpse covered by a white light, and then I woke up.
Raenaslee: It’s just a dream, Legolas. You don’t have to worry about me, I’ll be fine, I do not fear death, I only feared to lose the people I love. I swear to the Valar that I will protect you all.
Legolas: And we will protect you.
Raenaslee: (smile) I will sleep here for the night, if you don’t mind.
Legolas: (smile) it’s alright for me.
Finally the two elves slept at night peacefully. The next morning was the beginning of their journey. After a long walk, they’ve took a camp. Boromir was teaching Merry and Pippin sword fighting, Frodo and Aragorn were sitting on a rock while Aragorn gave them corrections, Sam was cooking food, and Gandalf was sitting on a boulder, Raenaslee was watching at the two hobbits, Legolas was looking at the horizon and Gimli...
Gimli: If anyone was to ask for my opinion which I note they're not I'd say we were taking the long way 'round. Gandalf, we could pass through the Mines of Moria. My cousin Balin would give us a Royal welcome.
Gandalf: No I would not take the road through Moria unless I had no other choice.
When Boromir hit one of the hobbits his training in accident, Merry and Pippin beat him back, then Aragorn came but they also beat him. Raenaslee came to help her friend then Legolas ran to her, but the men, Boromir, Merry, Pippin, Aragorn and Legolas tickled her just for fun, they’ve stop till she told them to stop, then Legolas and Aragorn helped her up. She and Legolas went to take a look around and then the two elves saw something, in the she-elf’s opinion those were crebain from Dunland, and she asked the he-elf if she was right.
Sam: What is that?
Gimli: Nothing. It's just a wisp of cloud.
Boromir: It's moving fast... against the wind
Raenaslee and Legolas: Crebain from Dunland!
Aragorn: Hide!
The fellowship hid under the bushes, Legolas, who’s always with Raenaslee, wrapped her in his arms. When the Spies of Saruman had just passed by, Gandalf decided that they must take the Pass of Caradhas.
As they walked at the snowy mountain, they walked farther and farther till the wind blew harder and harder and the snow grew deeper and deeper, when...
Legolas: Raenaslee, what does your ears hear and speak your lips of what have you just heard.
Raenaslee: I hear a voice of evil against the wind.
Legolas: There is a fell voice in the air!
Gandalf: It’s Saruman!
Aragorn: He's trying to bring down the mountain! Gandalf, we must turn back!
Gandalf: NO! Losto Caradhras, sedho, hodo, nuitho i 'ruith! (Sleep, Caradhras, be still, lie still, hold your wrath!)
Suddenly, there was a lightning struck the tip of Caradhas, and that caused the avalanche that buried the fellowship. When the whole fellowship emerged except the Morneven, Legolas looked over her and finally he found her and she was fine. Then the fellowship continued. Boromir wanted to make a Gap of Rohan and the west road to Gondor, while Aragorn wanted to go to Isengard, Gimli wanted to go through the mines. But Frodo the ring-bearer decided to go through the mines.
