Chapter 5

After the fiasco that was Michele and Corey's elimination, I storm off to the villa and bring Josh and Amber with me because I know exactly where I am going and they need to be with me. I signal for them to take a right with me past the confessional room and into my escape from everything and the place where I don't feel alone. As we walk in, I hear Amber and Josh gasp and I smile, knowing that this room does not have that effect on just me. I pull up two chairs and signal for them to sit down.

Josh: Man, what is this room?

Amber: Is this your music room?

Syn: Yeah. It's my comfort item we all get each season.

Josh: Lucky. This room is badass!

Syn: Thank Mel for that.

Amber: Mel is back?!?!

Josh: Who is Mel?

Amber: Mel is Syn's storyline producer. She has been with Syn since his first season on the Challenge and he has always asked for her ever since.

Syn: Mel is like my fairy godmother. 

Josh: Sweet. I'd love to meet her one time.

Syn: You will. Trust me.

Josh: So explain to us why we are here?

Syn: I have been working on my album and got a song I wanted you to hear that I wrote with Liv I think it sums up what we are all feeling after Fessy and Kaycee's betrayal. Wanna hear it?

Both: Hell yeah!

Syn: Great. 

Amber: Wait, Liv?

Syn: Oh yeah. I forgot you don't know my nickname for Olivia Rodrigo.

Both: What?

Syn: I'll tell you another time. Here is the song her and I wrote together and I helped produce called Traitor. Hope you enjoy.

While I am performing the song, I remember sitting in the room with Liv when she first played me the song and I ran up to her and hugged her. This song was the moment that I became protective of Liv and took her in as my adopted lil sister. Seeing her succeed has been the best thing I have experienced since Xavier and Ryan got into college. My whole family became protective over Liv as well and my two lovingly stupid brothers threatened her ex after what he did to her. Liv was so mad at them but ultimately thanked them for sticking up for her. I frown thinking that I know exactly the pain she went through.

After I finish the song, Josh and Amber ask if I have anymore songs to perform and I tell them I have the perfect song but I need to get everyone into the living room to hear it. Amber gets worried because she has an idea about what I am going to do but she lets me do it anyways. Once they gather everyone into the living room, I begin my big speech leading into the song.

Syn: Thank you all for joining me. I know we just went through a rollercoaster tonight. I just figured we all could use something to forget it all so I have a perfect song for you all. For those of you who do not know, I am a singer-songwriter that has worked with some of the most incredible artists in the world. Tonight, I will be performing a song I wrote with the band Everyone Loves an Outlaw.

Nany: Wait, did you write...
