Class finally ended. It felt like it had lasted an eternity. Kenma grabbed his game from his bag. Now was the time to try any distraction.
"Oy, Kozume!" A guy in his class was looking at him. Kenma looked back up from his game.
"Aren't you going to lunch? You always leave the classroom for lunch." Kenma felt his cheeks going warm. He quickly stared back at his game. The guy shook his shoulders and continued his conversation. Kenma went back to his game, before he felt some hands land on his shoulders. He jumped and the game went flying. Kuroo caught it mid-air and handed it back to him.
"Try not to break your stuff." Kuroo was smirking as always. Kenma scoffed and got back his game.
"Then don't scare me like that." Kuroo chuckled and grabbed Kenma's bag. Kenma just looked at him with a confused gaze.
"What, you don't want to eat lunch?" Kuroo had stopped in the doorway. Kenma scratched his neck before getting up and followed Kuroo. Kuroo seemed to be back to his normal self, walking tall without any worry.
I guess we are just ignoring it. I don't get how he can just act as if nothing happened. Maybe he didn't notice? Kenma got lost in his thoughts. They found a place to sit in the shade outside. Kuroo gave Kenma his bag so he could get his food before he got out his own.
"Ready to give it your all in volleyball later?" Kuroo gave Kenma his usual smirk as he asked. Kenma shrugged his shoulders as he kept eating. Kuroo tapped his elbow lightly into Kenma's arm.
"Come on, you gotta give it your all even in the practices." The touch of Kuroo made Kenma's heart race.
Why is this happening? Kuroo looked at him, waiting for him to say anything.
"I know, I know", Kenma muttered and took a big bite of his food to distract himself.
"Glad to see your appetite is up at least", Kuroo said, still with that smirk of his.

Practice was done. The others were changing in front of their lockers, talking and planning stuff for the weekend. Kuroo was sitting on the bench, towel over his head. He and Kenma had not been in synch one second of the practice. He had missed every spike that Kenma had tried sending him.
Why can't I focus? It shouldn't be such a big deal. Maybe it'll go over when we've slept. Kuroo was brought out of his thoughts when he felt a slap on his back.
"You seriously need some sleep", Yaku said. It showed on his whole face that he was worried, which was unusual. Kuroo nodded slowly from underneath the towel. The others got their stuff and left the clubroom.
"Kuroo", Kenma said quietly. Kuroo jumped from the bench, almost hitting his head on the ceiling. Kenma stepped back, scared Kuroo was going to jump on him somehow.
"Sorry, I just didn't expect anyone to be left." Kuroo sat back down, towel still over his head. He could feel his hands shaking where they were leaning on his knees.
"You ready to go? Weren't you still staying over?" Kuroo's body suddenly felt heavy.
Right, my parents would be gone for a couple of days. How is Kenma so calm about me still staying? Maybe we are just going to ignore it after all. Kenma had already gotten changed and was leaning against the wall, playing his game as usual.
