The alarm was ringing. Kenma almost jumped out of his bed. He was still getting used to the sound of it. Usually Kuroo would come to wake him up for morning practice, but since Kenma was holding his distance, Kuroo had stopped coming over in the morning. Kenma grunted and dragged himself out of bed, blanket still over his head.

I wish Kuroo was here. Kenma reached for the hanger for his school uniform, before realising it was empty.

Wait, where is my- He looked over to the floor next to the bed. There was his uniform, wrinkly in a pile.

Right. Kuroo usually hangs it up for me while scolding me. He was going to get scolded by his mom for this.

Kenma had never realised how boring walking to school was before. Walking alone was such a drag. Usually Kuroo would talk the whole way, and Kenma would nod along.

I found it annoying. But now I just miss it. He got to the clubroom, where some people were already changing. Kenma tried getting to his locker before anyone noticed. In the corner of his eye he could see Kuroo at his locker. He was taking off his shirt. Kenma's heart went racing. He took a deep breath, trying to lower his heart rate again.

Make it stop. I've seen it happen tons of times before. It had been a week of barely seeing Kuroo. Kenma was hoping the feelings would just fade, but being away from Kuroo this much just seemed to make the feelings stronger. Kenma quickly changed and walked to the gym without talking to anyone.

I wish I just stayed in bed.

Kuroo was standing by his locker, ready to change. Kenma walked into the clubroom, avoiding looking at anyone. Kuroo had to stop himself from greeting him. It looked like he didn't want anyone to talk to him. Kuroo bit the inside of his lip and started changing to his gym clothes. He tried his best focusing his mind on volleyball before walking into the gym. Kenma was already there, sitting on the sideline, still avoiding everyone. Kuroo hated seeing Kenma like this, but he was scared he would make it worse forcing himself onto him. Kenma hadn't told him why he was distancing himself like that.

He is going through a rough time, that's for sure. But I don't get why he can't tell me what it is. But he couldn't think more about that, since practice was starting.

The time flew, and it was almost lunch time. Kuroo's leg couldn't sit still. He was nervous. He had agreed to meet the girl that had confessed to him. Yaku kept looking back to him, giving him concerned looks. As the bell rang Yaku walked back to Kuroo's desk.

"You doing okay, Kuroo? You seem especially nervous today." Kuroo scratched his neck, looking at the clock.

"Oh, ehm. I am going to meet with a girl now, and I just don't know how to do it." Yaku's face changed from a concerned look to a smirk.

"Oh, so you got a love interest now?" Yaku nudged Kuroo's arm as Kuroo was standing up.

"Maybe, haha. She seems nice, at least." He started walking towards the door, hands shaking. Yaku patted him on his shoulder.

"I bet you'll do fine!" Yaku's smile was reassuring. As he got outside, she was already sitting on the bench. He walked over to her, hands in his pockets. She smiled as he approached her.

"Hi!" She seemed very happy to see him.

Yeah, she seems nice.
