The city was full of people. Kuroo was leaning against a wall, checking his phone.
"Kuroo!" Bokuto was waving his arm frantically, jumping his way over to Kuroo. Akaashi was walking calmly behind him. Kuroo put his phone down and started walking with them.
"How's the team coming along?" Bokuto asked, nudging Kuroo's arm. Kuroo scratched his neck.
"Oh, it's going well, we have gotten into a great rhythm!" Bokuto smiled with his whole face, as he always did. Akaashi nodded, smiling, but only halfway. They kept walking for a while, talking about how their teams were going to beat each other. After a while, Bokuto asked to go somewhere to eat, and they found a café nearby. They got their food and coffee before finding a table. Kuroo kept picking at the lid of his coffee.
«Bokuto told me you needed to talk about something", Akaashi stated before taking a sip of his coffee. Kuroo froze.
Right, that's why I am here. Bokuto tilted his head.
"You seem kind of out of it, you sure you're not sick?" Bokuto seemed worried as he asked. Kuroo bit the inside of his lip.
How am I supposed to explain it?
"I'm not sick. It's just. I feel weird", Kuroo said nervously. Bokuto gave Akaashi a confused look. Akaashi nodded his head.
"Please explain." Kuroo could feel his heart race.
"I can't sleep, my heart keep racing, and I-" He couldn't finish the sentence.
I can't stop thinking about Kenma. Bokuto turned his head from Kuroo to Akaashi, still with a confused gaze. Akaashi scratched his head.
"Is this weird feeling connected to a person?" Bokuto sat still for a moment, before lighting up, almost jumping out of his seat.
"Dude, do you like someone?!" Kuroo felt his cheek blush. Bokuto was standing next to his chair, eyes filled with excitement. Akaashi made a hand movement to make Bokuto sit down again.
"So, you like someone?" Akaashi had turned back to Kuroo with a small smirk on his face.
It couldn't be. We are childhood friends. Am I broken? Bokuto and Akaashi was looking at Kuroo, waiting for a reply.
"I-I guess so", he shakingly answered.
This could not end well. There's no way I can ever tell him, that will ruin our friendship. Bokuto grinned.
"We got to meet her sometime! How is she? Is she from your school?" Bokuto kept on asking all kinds of questions. Akaashi made him skip the questions he deemed too personal for Kuroo having to answer.
This is not good.
