Stuck on you // Kuroo x Kenma

Chapter 8

A week went by. Kenma had tried his best to keep some distance to Kuroo. He had started to stay in his classroom at lunch to play his games while eating instead of joining Kuroo out. He also tried keeping some space between them when they were walking together. Even at volleyball practice he managed to keep his distance by practicing with Lev instead when it was time for self-practice. Kuroo hadn't been over since he had been sleeping over. They had barely spoken since that day. 

Maybe he needed some distance. Maybe he has a lot of things going on himself. Kenma was staring into his roof. He had been hoping that distance would help the feelings soften, but being away from Kuroo like this just made him miss him even more. Kuroo had caught on early that Kenma was trying to get some space.

"Never be scared to contact me if you need me", he had said. 

As if I could. Kenma was wondering how Kuroo was doing. 

Is he doing better without me? He shook his head. What a stupid thought. They had been friends forever. It's not like Kuroo would magically be better without him.

Kuroo was pacing back and forth in his room. It had been a week since his talk with Akaashi and Bokuto, and his head was a mess. At the same time, Kenma had started distancing himself from him. 

He really must have been weirded out. Kuroo had tried not being pushy, so he allowed Kenma the distance. After all, he was trying to figure out his feelings. 

Maybe I am just mistaken? I might just be lonely. Craving some affection. There had been a girl the other day that had confessed to him. She was cute, but Kuroo didn't know how he felt. His feelings were all over the place. 

Maybe I could give her a chance. He threw himself on the bed. Instinctively he took up his phone, ready to text Kenma. But he stopped himself before writing anything. 

He wouldn't want to be disturbed by something like that. Kuroo put his phone down next to him. 

Getting a girlfriend, huh? Kuroo had never dated anyone. He had been too busy with the volleyball club to even think about that kind of stuff. Maybe his feelings got sorted out? 

How will Kenma react? He shook his head. Why would that be a problem? Kenma was his best friend. Even if he got a girlfriend he would still make time to hang out with Kenma. That was if Kenma wanted to. There was no saying how long this distancing was going to last. 

I hope he is doing good.
