Kuroo couldn't concentrate at all. The situation had gotten real out of hand, and he was to blame. He had been too scared to admit his feelings to himself, so he had ended up dragging an innocent person into all of this.
I've been such a dumbass. He had no idea what she wanted to talk about in the break, but he had to do the right thing. Before it continued further.
She deserves someone that likes her for real. He kept looking up at the clock. It felt like an eternity until the break would start. From his sideview he could feel Yaku looking back at him, but Kuroo just turned to his desk, staring intensely at it. He hadn't told Yaku any of this. Even though Yaku had asked him a ton about how it's been going. Kuroo had felt too pathetic to tell anyone.
At least Kenma doesn't know any of this. I can break it off without him needing to know. Lost in his own thoughts, he didn't notice when the bell finally rang. Yaku suddenly waved his hands in front of Kuroo's face.
"Hey, Kuroo. You okay? Break just started," he said with a concerned look on his face. Kuroo shot up from his chair.
"Yeah, I am fine. Thanks," he said, kind of dazed. Without saying more, he just went out into the hallway next to the classroom.

The teacher was writing something on the board. Kenma wrote it all down, word for word. But he wasn't catching any of it. He was too excited for the break. His head kept playing over how surprised Kuroo would be to see him at school, after such a long time.
He kept replaying scenarios while figuring out what he wanted to say. In between scenarios, he kept glancing over to the clock above the door. The break was so far away.
Kenma hadn't felt this excited since his favourite game series had released a new game two years prior. It had gotten out in the summer break, so Kenma had spent every day just sitting in his room, doing nothing but game all day. Kuroo was the only reason he had managed to eat and drink. Kuroo had quickly realised what would happen, so he had spent most days sitting beside Kenma, reading, or doing his own thing, while sometimes feeding Kenma while he was gaming.
Kenma had never asked him to, but Kuroo was always there to help in any way. Lost in his memories, he barely noticed the bell as it rang for the first break.
Oh, finally!
