57. [Nightmare Arc]

OH? A nightmare arc? What have I done? Jk I thought of this idea after I watched Rise of Darkrai. This is not a filler, it'll only be a few chapters haha. I hope you enjoy!

The group continued their way on towards Dendemille Town. It would be a few days before they reached their destination. Along the way, Ash trained for his next Pokemon battle while Serena and Dawn trained for their next Showcase. Ash also managed to catch a Noibat on their way there. 

They were now camped out in a forest and were all prepping for dinner. Ash and Clemont went to go collect firewood while Dawn and Serena prepared the dinner table. Bonnie decided to prep all the Pokemon's food following Dawn's instructions.

"I'm all done, Dawn!" Bonnie smiled happily.

"Great, thanks Bonnie." Dawn smiled as she finished setting up the table. "How's everything on your end, Serena?" 

"Everything's good." Serena smiled as she 

"Great. Now we just need to wait for the boys to come back with the-"

They suddenly heard screaming coming from the forest and saw Clemont running back towards them with Ash running behind him carrying the firewood. "Clemont!" He shouted as went towards the campsite and dropped the firewood down and went towards the tent. "Hey, come out of there." 

"What happened?" Dawn asked as she picked up the dropped firewood and placed it under the cooking pot. 

Ash sighed as he looked over at her, "Clemont spotted a Darkrai in the forest and got spooked." 

"Darkrai?" Bonnie asked curiously.

"I heard about it. It's a Pokemon that gives you nightmares." Serena explained.

Bonnie's eyes widened and she began getting chills. She then screamed as she ran inside the tent with her brother and started hugging him. "I'm scared!"

Ash, Dawn, and Serena all looked at each other then back at the tent with the two siblings trembling inside. "Should we move somewhere else?" Serena asked the two.

Ash and Dawn looked at each other then over at the forest where Ash and Clemont came out of. "We probably should." Dawn said as she looked over at Ash. 

"Alright, how about we move after we eat? I wouldn't want your hard work of setting up everything to go to waste." Ash smiled. 

Dawn and Serena smiled at him as they began prepping dinner. Meanwhile, the two siblings continued to tremble in fear of the Darkrai in the forest. 

After awhile, dinner was finally ready. Dawn and Serena had already set out everyone's portion and everyone called out their Pokemon to eat as well. Clemont and Bonnie were still a little scared hoping that Darkrai wouldn't appear while they were eating. The others tried their best to calm the two down and assure them that everything would be fine. 

Once they were all done eating, they began packing everything up to move somewhere farther away. They eventually found an area near a river and began setting up camp again. Clemont and Bonnie decided to sleep in a tent together while the others decided to sleep outside. 

"You guys sure you don't wanna sleep out here with us? The stars are really pretty tonight." Serena smiled as she showed them the night sky.

"No way! What if Darkrai shows up!?" Bonnie shouted as she hid herself inside her sleeping bag.

"Don't worry, Bonnie. We'll be alright as long as we stay inside our tent." Clemont said, a bit of fear in his voice.

Serena rolled her eyes at the two, "alright then. Suit yourself." She said as she closed the tent and went to her own sleeping bag.
