"Hey, ready to go?" Ash asked everyone. Clemont and Bonnie both walked up to him as well as Serena. "All ready." They smiled. Ash looked around and noticed Dawn was still not here. "Where's Dawn?"
"She's still in the room." Bonnie said.
"Well we need to get going. We should go on ahead, I'm sure she'll catch up." Serena smiled.
Clemont and Bonnie glared at her for even saying such a thing. Serena didn't notice though since she was too busy trying to convince Ash to move along and forget about the coordinator. "I think I'll go check on her." He said as he began walking towards the room.
"But, don't you wanna get to Cyllage City as soon as possible?" She shouted at him.
"It can wait. We don't leave without Dawn." He shouted back.
Serena scowled at the fact that her boyfriend still wanted the coordinator to follow them. She needed to think of a way to separate them, but how?
Ash proceeded through the hallway and made it to the girls room where Dawn was in. He knocked on the door and opened it slowly to see Dawn sitting on the bed. "Dawn? Hey, we're about to head to the next city." Ash said as he walked up to her.
She looked so different now. And it wasn't because of the hair, but there was definitely something about Dawn that had changed. She looked like she hasn't slept in days. Her eyes were all puffy and red and she looked so pale like something inside of her had broken.
Ash sat next to the coordinator and looked at her worriedly. She began to tense up and started to remember what happened last night.
Bonnie was eating with Ash and Clemont in the dining hall while Dawn was in the room grooming her Buneary.
Serena then came into the room and noticed Dawn sitting on the couch with her Pokémon. She smirked as she sat in front of the mirror and began to admire herself.
"Where were you, Dawn? We were hoping you'd join us for dinner." She asked.
Dawn didn't answer.
"Well, except Ash because he was too busy talking with me about how much he's lucky to have me." She smiled.
Dawn refrained herself from getting up and lashing out on the girl. She returned Buneary into its pokeball seeing as it was already getting annoyed by Serena's constant bragging and would eventually use ice beam on her to shut her up.
"Dawn, are you alright? Is something bothering you?" Serena asked.
"Everything's just fine." Dawn said through gritted teeth.
"Then why won't you answer the previous questions? Is it really that hard to believe that Ash and I are together?" Serena smirked.
"No."
"Oh really? Then what?" She asked as she turned towards the mirror again to look at her hair.
"My mom taught me not to lower myself to people like you." She said proudly.
"Why, you—"
Dawn stood up from the couch as she glared at the chestnut haired girl, "You think I care whether you and him are together? Ash and I are friends no matter what. As long as he's happy then that's fine with me."
