Yay new chapter! I wrote this after watching a compilation of Ash and Dawn's high fives and let's just say the first and last ones really got me especially the last considering that was their way of saying goodbye ;n; I can't wait to see Dawn again in the new Pokemon Journey's ep. I can only hope they high five again for old times sakes LOL
I will also be fixing this story up a bit. As in rewriting some parts in the chapters :)

After confessing the truth to Serena, Ash walked back into their room to see Dawn sitting on the bed sketching something.
"Whatcha doing there, Dawn?" Ash smiled as he sat down beside her.
"Just sketching some dresses for the next Showcase." Dawn said as she handed her sketchbook back to Ash.
"Hey, these are great." Ash said with admiration as he turned a few pages. He always loved looking at Dawn's designs. He stopped at one page and noticed his name and hers together in a heart. He smirked as he turned the sketchbook back to her. "These is a unique one."
Her eyes widened as she blushed in embarrassment. She tried to grab the sketchbook away from Ash only for him to hold it up in the air so she couldn't reach it.
"Ash! Give it back right now!" Dawn shouted.
"Hmm... Nope." He smiled as he held the book higher.
"Ash Ketchum!" She shouted again as she jumped at him only for him to get off from the bed.
"Fine. You want it back?" He smirked.
"Yes, if you don't mind." She said with gritted teeth.
"Then you gotta kiss me." He said as he put the book behind his back and leaned towards her face.
"You promise to give it back when I do?" She asked.
He nodded his head at her, "of course."
Dawn sighed as she looked up at him and placed her hands on his cheeks. She smiled at him as she pulled him closer to her face. He closed his eyes and waited for her lips to meet his. Their noses touched and he could already feel her breath on his lips.
Just when he thought she was going to kiss him, she whispered, "you're too easy, Ash Ketchum."
His eyes widened as he felt her pull the sketchbook out of his hand and quickly put it back into her bag. She then smirked at him and placed her hands on her hips.
He furrowed his brows at her and pouted. "That wasn't fair."
Dawn chuckled at him and placed a small peck on his lips. "Happy?"
Ash let out a small smile. "Maybe."
Dawn rolled her eyes at him as she sat back on the bed. "Anyway... What did you and Serena talk about?"
Ash's eyes widened at her as he scratched back of his head nervously. "Well, um..."
Dawn raised a brow at him. "If it's a private thing, then no need to worry."
Ash furrowed his brows at her as he sat next to her on the bed. He grabbed her hand and held it in his. He thought back about how Serena told him to let Dawn know so she wouldn't get mad at him about it later on and she was definitely right. If he kept it a secret much longer, Dawn probably wouldn't talk to him anymore.
"Ash?" He heard her call to him as she placed her hand on his cheek.
He sighed as he leaned his head on her shoulder. "Dawn... Please don't hate me."
Dawn furrowed her brows at him with worry, "Ash, I could never hate you."
He can only hope that after what he told her, she didn't. "Okay... Um, you see, I confessed something to Serena. Something bad I did when her and I were dating and it has something to do with Gary and an old friend."
"What did you do?" She asked him.
Ash furrowed his brows and sighed as he held onto her hand tightly. "I... I asked Gary to set up Serena with our old friend Calem so she could fall in love with him and forget about me and then we could be together." He said as he closed his eyes preparing for her to yell at him for what he did but it never came. He opened his eyes to look at her.
Dawn simply blinked at him as if she was still trying to process what he just told her. Ash set up Serena to be with an old friend just so he can be with her? She furrowed her brows and looked away from him.
"I... don't know what to say." She finally spoke.
"It's okay, I understand..." He said as he got up from the bed to leave but was stopped as she held onto his hand.
"It doesn't mean that I hate you." She told him.
His eyes widened at her as she made him sit back down on the bed. She sighed as she looked over at him and placed his hands in hers and held them. She took a deep breath then looked at him in the eyes.
"Look, Ash. What you did was bad but I won't fault you for it. You and Serena were always fighting so I can understand why you did what you had to. You were hoping she'd fall in love with Calem so you wouldn't have to break her heart in the end, right?"
He nodded his head at her. She was always on point with these things.
"To be honest with you, I feel kind of guilty about this. Like it's actually all my fault." She told him.
He looked at her with a confused look on his face. "What do you mean? You had nothing to do with this—"
"Ash, you wanted to set Serena up so you could be with me..." She told him. "It feels like I'm part of the problem as well."
Ash sighed as he pulled her close to him. "No, you had nothing to do with this. Okay? This is all on me. Dawn, I would've done anything just to be with you." He told her as he placed a kiss on her forehead.
"I wouldn't have let you done that, y'know?" She told him.
He chuckled at her. "I know. I just wanted Serena to be happy, too."
"Oh, so, how does Serena feel about it?" Dawn asked.
"She was sort of mad at first. But, she said it was partially her fault that it happened. So we decided to meet up with Calem and catch up with him." Ash smiled.
"That's great." Dawn said.
Ash nodded his head at her, "yup. Believe it or not, she's actually the one who told me to tell you about this so you won't be mad at me for it later on."
Dawn's eyes widened at him. "She did?"
"Yeah. You two have really gotten close, huh?"
Dawn let out a smile as she leaned her head on his shoulder. "Yeah, I guess we really have."
