A change of POV (Point of View) a bit, hm? :)

Gary's POV

I sighed as I made my way back to the Pokemon center to use the video phone to call up Gramps again. I needed to fill him in about the Pokemon that I discovered here in Kalos.

As soon as I got into the Pokemon center, I accidentally bumped into someone.

"Sorry about that." I apologized.

"Don't worry about-" They looked up at me and my eyes widened when I realized who it was I bumped into. Their eyes looked up at me in shock as well.

"Y-You again!? What are you doing here!? You're not here to tease me again, are you!?" Serena shouted as she pointed an accusing finger at me.

"First of all... Get your finger out of my face." I said as I moved her hand away. "Second, I hardly care about making fun of you, I'm here to use the video phone. Now outta my way." I told her as I made my way towards the video phone.

I immediately called up Gramps lab. One of the scientist greeted me and said that Gramp's was out doing field work. I nodded my head at them as they went to go call him. I noticed a small reflection in the screen and realized she was still standing behind me.

I groaned, "what?"

"What?" She answered back.

"Why are you still here? Don't you have to check on Ashy boy or something?" I asked her.

"No, I'm too busy doing something else." She said as she crossed her arms at me.

I rolled my eyes at her then turned towards the video phone again to see Gramps appear on the screen. "Gary! I see you're doing well."

"Hey, old man. I got you some data on the Pokemon I discovered here in Kalos." I said as I held up my Pokedex to him.

"Ah, excellent. Do you mind transferring-"

"Hi, Professor Oak! Remember me?" Serena shouted as she pushed me out of the way.

"Hey!" I said angrily.

"Uh..." Gramps looked at her confused. "Am I... Supposed to remember you?"

"I went to your summer camp before, remember?" She asked him.

"My dear, I've held many summer camps." He replied.

I moved her out of the way and she stared at me angrily but I didn't care. "Sorry about that Gramps. Anyway, I'll transfer it to you right now." I said as I inserted my Pokedex into the video phone slot.

"Data received Professor Oak!" I heard one of the scientist say.

"Excellent. Thank you, my boy." Gramps smiled. "I'll be sure to call you up once I review the data you sent me."

"Cool. Oh and uh, one more thing?" I asked him.

"Yes?"

I looked over at Serena who had her arms crossed at me with an angry pout on her face. "Do you mind? This is a private conversation." I said annoyed.

"Hmph!" She said as she stomped out of the Pokemon center.

I sighed in relief as I turned back towards Gramps. "I was wondering if you remember Calem?"

"Calem?"

I sighed. If he couldn't remember Serena what made him think he'd remember Calem?

"Oh, Calem! Yes yes, I was in touch with his Mom recently." He smiled.

"Um... Just so we're on the same page, this is the Calem that used to play with Ash and I when we were younger, correct?"

"Yes, indeed. His mom recently called me to discuss about him and his Pokemon journey. She said he's currently training in Anistar City. Seems he's having a hard time with the gym there."

"Anistar City. Alright, thanks Gramps."

"Of course. Do call me up when you have more data to show me." He smiled.

I nodded my head at him as I ended the video call and made my way outside. I looked to the side to see Serena hanging off Ash's arm and shook my head as I let out a laugh. "Oh, Ashy boy... Looks like I have to end up saving you yet again." I said as I made my way out of Lumiose City to start the journey towards Anistar.

It's a short chapter but I promise you the next chapter will be a long one :D

If you're confused like "why didn't Gary just tell Ash that Calem was in Anistar and travel together?"

Think of Gary as a rogue. He doesn't need the extra company LOL and he'd only get annoyed by Serena on the journey.
