Ash woke up to the sun in his eyes and a weight on his chest. He looked down and saw Dawn sleeping soundly on him. Not wanting to wake her, he slowly got up and laid her down gently beside him. He looked around and saw Serena and Bonnie talking and Clemont working on his invention. He smiled at them and looked back down at Dawn who was still sleeping. Not wanting her to sleep out here, he carried her into his arms and brought him back to her tent.
Surprisingly, she hadn't woken up when he did that so he decided to carry her back to their campsite and lay her back down on her sleeping bag. Serena noticed them and ran up to Dawn asking Ash if she was okay. He nodded at her as he placed her down in the sleeping bag and moved away from her to sit in a chair.
Serena sat in the chair next to him and looked at him with a worried look. "Is everything okay, Ash?"
He looked up at her with a small smile, "yeah, I'm just a bit worried about Dawn."
"I'm just curious as to why you both had nightmares but we didn't."
"Could Darkrai be trying to tell us something?" Ash wondered.
"I have heard from a few people that dreams are often a gateway to the subconscious and that they often show people things that'll happen in the future."
Ash looked at her confused, "has it ever happened before?"
"Well, it did happen to me once and it felt like a deja vu." She said as she looked over at him, "it could be the same for you and Dawn. Whatever you dreamt of could happen in the future."
"But not knowing when it'll happen is the problem." Ash sighed as he leaned back in his chair.
"What was your dream about anyway?" Serena asked him.
Ash furrowed his brows and looked down at the ground sadly. He didn't want to think of it. The dream hurt him so much and he just wanted to forget it. But he couldn't thinking that it might actually happen. Was it true? Was Darkrai really trying to tell them something?
"You don't have to-"
"No, it's fine." Ash sighed. Maybe he'd feel more at ease if he told someone about it. Heck, he could probably get some good advice too on how to cope. He looked up at Serena and told her everything about his nightmare. Needless to say, it scared her, too.
"That's just... horrible."
Ash nodded his head at her. He had to admit he felt a little more at ease now that he let that out. He looked over at Dawn in her tent who was sleeping peacefully. He smiled softly at her, feeling glad that she was get some sleep after her own nightmare. He then looked back at Serena and noticed her thinking about something.
"Something wrong, Serena?" He asked her.
"You talked about seeing a cliff in your dream, right?" She asked him.
"Yeah, why?"
She then took out her Pokemon Navigator and zoomed in on their location. "I was right."
Ash then gave her a confused look and that's when she showed him their spot on the map. "Right now, we're here in the field clearing." She pointed at the red dot in the middle of an open field. "And right here is Dendemille Town." She said as she pointed at Dendemille Town's location on the map. He was confused as to what she could be saying.
