Ash came back to the Pokemon center to see Drew and May hugging Dawn.
"I'm gonna miss you guys." Dawn said.
"Aw, come on, Dawn. No need to-"
"I'M GONNA MISS YOU TOO." May shouted as she continued to hug Dawn much tighter now. Drew sighed as he tried to pull his girlfriend off of his best friend. He then cleared his throat, "No need to worry. We're just a video call away if anything." Drew smiled.
"It's such a shame that you have to leave." Clemont said.
"Yeah! I wanted to play with your Pokémon some more." Bonnie pouted.
May looked over at Bonnie and gave her a smile. "Maybe you and Clemont can come visit Drew and I if you ever plan on coming to Hoenn."
Bonnie smiled excitedly as she looked over at her big brother. "OHH CAN WE? CAN WE? CAN WE?" She begged.
Clemont chuckled at her as he patted her head, "sure."
Bonnie jumped up happily as she embraced May into a hug. "Yay! I'll get to play with all your Pokemon!"
"I'm sure they'd love that." May smiled as she looked over at Drew. "Ready to go?"
He nodded at her as they both made their way out of the Pokémon center and on their way to the seaport where the seaplane would be taking them back to Hoenn. Dawn and Ash followed them while the others stayed behind.
"Take care you guys." May smiled. "Good luck on your gym battles, Ash." She then looked over at Dawn, "and Dawn, best of luck to you on your Showcases. You can be sure Drew and I will be watching and cheering on for you."
Dawn smiled, "thanks a lot May."
The two then embraced each other into one final hug.
Ash watched as the two girls hugged each other until he was interrupted by Drew.
"See ya around, Drew."
"One more thing before I go Ash." Drew said.
"Wh—" Before Ash could answer, Drew pulled his shirt collar and brought Ash to him. He then leaned in and whispered something into his ear then backed away from him.
"Dr—"
Drew smirked as he looked at Ash and signaled for him to stay quiet about what he just said. May and Dawn looked at the two confused. "Take care, Ketchum." Drew smiled as he took May's hand and walked inside the seaplane with him.
In a few minutes, the seaplane departed and was off to Hoenn. Dawn watched as it disappeared behind the clouds.
Ash was lost in thought after hearing what Drew just told him.
Dawn doesn't like Gary. I won't tell you who the guy she likes is, but I can tell you that she really did want to see him in Kanto.
So she's not in love with Gary.. that's a good sign, right? Ash thought.
"Ash?" Dawn called.
"Huh?"
"Are you alright?"
"Uh, yeah. Sorry about that." He said as he ran up to her.
Dawn looked at him in suspicion. "Are you sure you're alright?"
Ash scratched the back of his head as he tried to think of an excuse. I can't tell her about what Drew told me. Drew would kill me. But, I'm really curious about the guy she likes too. Who is it? Is he from Kanto?
"Hello, earth to Ash. Are you in there?" Dawn said as she poked him in the forehead.
"Huh?"
Dawn sighed. "Forget it. Look, I don't know what you're thinking about. But, if you want to talk about it then I'm right here. You don't have to hide anything from me, remember?"
Ash smiled lightly as he looked down at the ground. She was right. He didn't need to hide anything from her. She would never judge him or get mad at him. She'd always listen and talk when it was necessary. She listens to understand and that's what he loves about her.
"There is something I have on my mind that I need to tell you." He said.
"Let it out." Dawn said as she waited for what he had to say.
Ash looked up from the ground, "I love you."
BOOM. Cliffhanger again. I'm sorry if this chapter is short D: I'm busy with requests and still trying to open up commissions!
