Another update! Enjoy.

Dawn, Clemont, and Bonnie walked back to the Pokémon center to find Ash and Serena sitting in the lounge together.

"There you guys are." Clemont said as he walked up to them with Bonnie and Dawn behind him.

"We were wondering where you two were! What were—"

Bonnie noticed Ash and Serena holding hands with each other and so did Clemont. They looked at each other with empathy then back at Dawn who saw the two of them holding hands too.

Awhile ago..

"So, Dawn.. I'm just going to have to assume that since you don't like my brother that way, do you like Ash in that way?" Bonnie asked.

"Bonnie!! Don't be so upfront about that!" Clemont scolded.

Dawn chuckled, "no, it's okay. To tell you the truth.. Ash was also the reason why I came to Kalos."

Both Clemont and Bonnie looked over at her surprised. "Really? So it wasn't because of Showcases?" Clemont asked.

Dawn shook her head at him, "of course, I plan to compete in Showcases. It's just that.. I also came here to tell Ash how I feel."

Bonnie smiled at the coordinator. "You should tell him right away!"

Dawn laughed at her in embarrassment, "let's try to take it slow."

"Aww." Bonnie pouted.

"Patience is a virtue, Bonnie." Clemont said as he placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Yeah yeah, patience is a statue. Whatever.."

"VIRTUE NOT STATUE!" Clemont shouted as both Dawn and Bonnie laughed.

Now

Dawn watched as Ash caressed the top of Serena's hand with his thumb while she lay on his shoulder. She didn't know what to say. She felt like her heart had shattered into little tiny pieces. She watched as Serena laughed when Ash whispered something into her ear.

She felt a tear make its way down her cheek as she quickly wiped it away and ran to their room. Clemont and Bonnie watched as the poor coordinator ran. Ash and Serena didn't notice that she had gone in the first place.

With Dawn

The coordinator went into the room and locked the door behind her. She then leaned against it as she slid her back down the door and she sat on the ground crying.

I'm so stupid.. She thought. I'm so stupid to think that Ash could ever love someone like me. She cried some more. She then heard a knock on the door, "go away." She said aloud.

"Dawn? Are you alright?" It was Ash.

She couldn't face him now. Not like this.. she didn't want him to see her cry. "I'm fine." She lied as she wiped the tears away from her eyes and tried her best to fix her face up.

"Can I come in?" He asked.

She was hesitant about it. But, if she didn't face him now she won't be able to face him ever. She sighed as she opened the door to reveal a worried Ash. She looked down at the ground as she walked towards the sofa and sat down.

Ash went inside and closed the door behind him as he went up to her and sat down. "Hey, you alright?" He asked me. "Of course. Why wouldn't I be?" She smiled lightly trying to hide the fact that she was actually crying.

Ash looked down at the ground, "so.. how was your date with Clemont?" He asked her.

"Fine." She said, not once looking at him at all.
