Anyways, I have a question but I want you guys to answer it at the end of the chapter!
Enjoy!
"What do you mean you're spending the whole day with her!?" Serena shouted.
"Well.. I was treating her bad, it's the least I can do." Ash said.
"But the whole day!?!? Today is the day of the festival!!"
"Yes, I know. I'll be back by tonight with gifts for my Pokémon with Dawn." He said as he grabbed his hat off the bedside table and put it on his head. Just before he could walk out of the room, Serena stopped him.
"Why not just go with me instead?" She smiled sweetly.
Ash sighed as he grabbed her shoulders and slowly moved her out of the way. "Sorry, nothing you can do to change it. Dawn is one of my good friends and I feel bad for the way I treated her." He planted a kiss on her cheek, "see you tonight." With that, he was out the door and on his way to meet with Dawn, who was already waiting for him at the monorail.
Dawn looked over at Ash with her hands on her hips. "You're late."
"Sorry, it's Serena." He chuckled as he scratched the back of his head in embarrassment.
Dawn rolled her eyes at him and chuckled, "let's go." She said as they both boarded the monorail and took their seats. They sat opposite each other as they both stared out the windows. Ash looked over at Dawn and noticed her smiling at something.
He thought about their kiss and how she rejected him. It all started coming back to him as he tried his best to shake all thoughts of their kiss and her rejection away. Just then, he felt a hand on his shoulder and looked up to see Dawn.
"We're here." She told him and proceeded out the monorail.
That was quick.. He thought as he got up from his seat and followed Dawn out the monorail. He looked around and noticed a lot of shops and street vendors. This part of Coumarine City seemed a bit more lively.
"Hey, if you don't hurry up, I'll leave you behind!" He heard Dawn say as he panicked a bit and began running up to her. They looked around the street vendors as people offered them stuff to buy, the two of them kindly shrugged them away as they continued on.
Dawn noticed a beautiful dress in one of the shops and smiled at it. Ash walked up next to her and noticed her smiling at the dress and looked up at it with her. "I know someone who would look great in that dress."
Dawn looked at him confused yet curious, "who?"
"Y— Serena!!?" He shouted.
Dawn's eyes widened at him as she looked at him disappointingly hoping he would've said her. "What are you doing here!?" Ash shouted. Dawn then turned around to see Serena smiling and waving at them as she ran up to Ash and gave him a hug. "I decided I'd help you shop for your Pokémon's gifts for the festival tonight!"
"But, it's fine. I have Daw—" Before Ash could say anything else, he was dragged away by Serena who shot a look of disdain towards Dawn as they both walked away towards a shop.
Dawn sighed as she walked the other way towards another shop looking for the perfect gifts for her Pokémon. Why can't anything ever go right. She thought as she looked through a few items.
