Chapter 43

Shuni returns to the huge mansion after the driver had passed new clothes to Kazutora for her to wear.

Kazutora didn't take her first time as she wanted it to be done at a later date, for example, a wedding, if they would even be together.

When they showered, the makeup on her back was washed off as Kazutora sees the stab wound mark he left on her. He kissed it gently, asking for her forgiveness again as she patted his head, telling him she had long forgiven him.

He kissed her neck gently too for trying to poison her.

The two had slept together overnight as Kazutora unwillingly let her go. She had paid him a hundred thousand yen for going with her to the bar last night and witnessing the murder.

Now, she just really missed him. Like him, she was touched starved too. They were quite a match for one another.

Fuyuka waits outside her door for her.

"Where were you last night?" Her boss's daughter asks her, Shuni shrugs her shoulders. "Stayed over in a hotel." She lies as Fuyuka grabs her by her shoulder.

"Don't lie. My father said you were with a guy last night."

"Huh, I must have forgotten about it." Shuni lies again as the grip on her shoulder became tighter.

"My father allows you to do whatever you want in your free time. But I don't." The other girl says crossly, "you can't have any fun outside."

"What are you, a Karen? Let me live my life." Shuni says coldly, "no I won't let you." Fuyuka objects immediately.

"Why?"

"Because men are disgusting!" Fuyuka yells, Shuni nearly turns around to hit her for being annoying and bratty.

"You have a brother and father. Mind your words please, young madam." Shuni bows and tries shrugging off the other girl but her sharp nails were digging into her arm too harshly. Blood flowed down Shuni's arm as Fuyuka glared at her.

"My father has been planning on engaging me to a rich old man. A man using me to gain money from another filthy old man. Do you think I want that? And that Vael, he's just a stranger who's here to take over my father's business when I'm the full-blooded one here." Fuyuka grits out.

Shuni's blood dripped onto the floor but she doesn't care, only wanting to get away from the crazy young adult. Too bad she was dense and didn't know Fuyuka has feelings for her.

"Ok and? Congrats on the engagement. I don't want to attend it and I still don't understand why you're controlling my sex life." Shuni says bluntly just as Fuyuka tries to deliver a slap to her face.

Shuni dodged but one of Fuyuka's sharp nails vertically sliced her lips. Shuni hisses, not her damn face.

"You're lucky I can't touch your sister," Fuyuka warns as she leaves but not before throwing a concerned look at the white haired girl who was holding onto her injured arm.

"Damn, I should have never helped her in school." Shuni hisses as Fuyuka's nails had sunk into her arm. She couldn't remember anything but Emma after she woke up. But after some time, her memories slowly returned to her, however in that time when she couldn't remember anything, she still pretends to not know anything but Emma for now. She had told Mr Himura that Hanemiya was just a random pretty boy she found on the streets.

And now Fuyuka was pushy with her and Mr Himura made her train intensely. She'll do some of his dirty work for him if needed and she'll follow Vael around in Brahman. At least she was paid a lot a month.

Fuyuka was the reason why she was alive, but Fuyuka was also the reason why she was locked in this cage, unable to go back to Mikey.

Mikey hasn't seen her before and she was forced to have her scar hidden so the others didn't know she's Maria. Fuyuka had also convinced her father that Maria will be a good member in his Mafia system and he believed her and made her undergo hellish training.

The training injured her a lot but didn't give her scars, after all, Mr Himura really liked her and even told her her tattoo was incomplete and made a tattoo artist finish it.

Maria would have escaped but Emma was held captive at a place she didn't know after she disobeyed 3 of Mr Himura's orders. They even broke one of Emma's arms, therefore Maria was in a tough spot.

Maria stares at the purple orchid in her room that was in a vase. She wonders how the Haitani brothers were doing now. And while she was in her coma for one month, Fuyuka made sure the surgeons had her throat fixed so she can now speak again.

Maria slams her fist into the wall, this Fuyuka had controlled her life. She regrets the day she helped Fuyuka. The girl was bullied by her peers. Scribbles and carvings on her table and pulling her chair away whenever she sits and more dumb acts.

Maria couldn't take it and slapped one of the bullies in the face. And then a brawl happened, she won and Fuyuka became her best friend. But now she was just showing her true colors, I should have just not made friends in school... Shuni thinks, her blank eyes staring at her mirror reflection before her.

This girl before her was someone else already, she's Shuni, not Manchiro Sano anymore. She stares at her own blank eyes in the mirror, she remembers them being full of light whenever Baji would tie her hair before the mirror in the old days.

He would always wake up early just to go to her house to tie and style her hair. Shuni wonders if there was a part of her who really died with Baji on Christmas.

Her heart ached as she sits on the ground sobbing again, in one of her many breakdowns.
