Chapter 28

It was currently morning as Maria opens her eyes as she sees a pair of violet eyes staring back at her.

"Hmm? You're awake." The male said as Maria blinks and wonder which brother it was.

Oh it was Ran, Rindo doesn't have black hair. His hair was down.

He was lying on the bed next to her without a shirt as she sees his tattoos on his body. Normally she would blush from seeing exposed skin, but now she doesn't care.

"We didn't do anything. You just came in and slept between us after clinging onto Rindo." He mutters as Maria sits up and stretches her back.

She sees her coat on a hanging rack as she walks to it, barefooted. She takes out her book and pen and walks back to Ran as she sits beside him, enjoying his warmth while he runs his fingers through her hair, while watching her write.

"I see, sorry about his death, although I would say healing your throat is a priority. You're basically mute now... sister." He said as he continued running his hand through her hair and Rindo came out of the bathroom with just a pair of grey sweater pants.

"You're awake." Rindo says as he was rubbing his hair dry, Ran has his hands around Maria's stomach, holding her to him as she lays against his bare chest.

She stares blankly at Rindo as he sweat drops and looks to Ran. His elder brother gives him a warning look.

Alright, that's a bad sign. Always gotta listen to bro. Rindo thinks as he walks to his closet to get his top as Ran hears Maria's stomach rumble.

She hasn't eaten since yesterday's breakfast.

Ran smiles softly as he pats her head and gets off the bed.

"Your toothbrush is white. It's in the bathroom. Take a shower if you need one. Breakfast will be done soon" Ran says as he walks out of the room while dragging his brother along.

Maria just stares at them as her eyes explored the room. Rindo has a television attached to the wall and some books on a relatively empty bookshelf.

Apart from that, not much stuff, Maria turns as she enters the bathroom to wash herself.

"Her boyfriend just died." Ran says as Rindo understands the situation instantly. "And she cried and wailed so much that her throat is too damaged to speak." Ran continues as Rindo's eyes widens.

"Need to make her some liquid food I guess." Ran murmurs to himself as Rindo glares at the ground, angered that her throat was damaged and she was in mourning.

"Hey, stop spacing out and help me." Ran says to him as he wears a white shirt and begins blending some avocados and milk.

"Y-yeah." Rindo responds as he helps his brother.

Maria enters the living room as she sits opposite the two brothers as Ran serves her a avocado smoothie and some yogurt.

She nods her head as a mute thanks as they watched her eat her food. "Are you going to go home?" Rindo ask her as she writes in her notebook.

Do you want me to leave?

"No no, just asking. You still have an actual brother at home." Rindo explains as Maria looks to the ground.

Now she feels selfish for leaving Mikey to deal with Baji's death alone as she nods her head and stands up.

She walks towards them as she hugs them tightly in thanks as she waved them a goodbye.

"Would have wanted her to stay longer." Ran murmurs as Rindo smiles softly, "she needs to spend more time with her twin."

"Maria." Emma greets her as Maria looks to her younger sister and hugs her tightly and pats her head.

She knows Emma's time is coming, she needs to protect Emma from the bastard Kisaki.

She won't let another loved one go and leave her life.

"Maria? What's wrong? You're hugging me too tight." Emma mutters as Maria releases her, her younger sister's innocent and pure honey colored eyes stared back at hers.

Maria shakes her head as she leaves Emma to find Mikey as he was still sleeping.

His sleeping face was really innocent.

Yes, Mikey is weak... he would still turn to the darkness in his heart.

Maria brushed her twin's hair as Mikey makes a noise at her as he turns with his back facing her.

Maria suddenly feels tired as she leaves to her room to get her toy rabbit as she returned back to her twin's room as she plopped next to Mikey.

She yawns softly as she rests beside him not knowing that this may be one of her last times to do something like this.

Ran and Rindo's lunch schedule in juvenile school:

After eating and interacting with Maria for one and a half hours, she has to go back to her room.

Then they'll go fool about with the rest of the S62 generation that has been released for lunch. Maria and Izana never knew they were in the same juvie :). —————————————————————
