"A change of fate?" Megumi's eyes were filled with confusion more than ever, trying to understand what he had meant.

There was only two different paths he could choose at this point, and one of them could lead him to his own demise. If he takes the hand of the Blue Butterfly, then surely he will avoid that fate, having a change of fate.

Yet, the child of the unseen did not want to go with this man either. No matter how much his life will change for the better, he already decided to not leave his grandmother behind.

That's why, in the last moment, he stopped himself from taking the hand of the unseen man. There was a bit of hesitation in his actions but, at the end, his hand dropped to his side.

Furthermore, there was something about Suguru that made Megumi be wary of him. Maybe it was the fact of the way it made him feel when he looked at those bloody eyes or perhaps it was because of the White Butterfly.

Satoru mentioned before something about the Blue Butterfly's sins, even saying that the task of escorting him to the Black Butterfly had fallen into his hands.

If Suguru have truly done something unforgivable, then for sure it's better for Megumi to not trust him. But it was kind of difficult, since every time he looked at him, he felt an inexplicable longing for him like he was under a magic spell.

Moments ago, Megumi felt he would be safe just by staying by his side, but now he had become unsure. He definitely should not have stopped following the white butterfly, especially when Satoru already showed to him that he's trustworthy. And he even showed his kindness by accepting to bring him back home in order to see his grandmother again!

But now, it was too late to even regret it. The butterfly is gone and who knows what happened to Satoru. If Sukuna had run away from the fight, then the white butterfly for sure would have followed him.

"Is something wrong?" Suguru kindly asked, waiting for Megumi to take his hand.

Hearing the Blue Butterfly's voice, Megumi finally realize that he hasn't said or done anything for a couple of seconds. He shifted his gaze from Suguru's enchanting eyes, staring now at the red oil-paper umbrella in his hands instead.

Suguru had felt the hesitation in Megumi and even noticed about his worries. This confirmed that he wasn't planning to take his hand, much less was he going to go with him.

"No," Megumi responded.

It was clear that it was a lie, but the Blue Butterfly did not care either way. Instead of saying something, he retracted his hand as soon as he noticed that the kid was staring at the umbrella.

That action was enough to bring a smile to his lips. "Do you want your umbrella back?"

Megumi truly wanted it back, since not to long ago his grandmother gave it to him as a birthday present. But he shook his head instead. "You can have it. I don't need it anymore," he lied once again. "Since you have saved my life, is the less I can offer you."

"Are you really sure?" Suguru wasn't expecting to receive some kind of gratitude, nor did he need it. Plus, he could not accept knowing that this umbrella was a gift from someone special. "I don't mind giving back to you."

"You saved my life, take it as a present," Megumi insisted. "It's the only thing that I have that I can give to you as a present."

"If you insist that much, then I kindly accept it," Suguru gave up. "The truth is, I would never have expected to see this kind of gratitude from a child who is half human."

Megumi felt kind of offended by his last words. "What do you mean by that?"

"Nothing in particular, it's just that I don't like humans at all. That's why I hesitated to save you at first, but since you are one of the children of the unseen, I will protect you from the Red Butterfly who wants to consume your life. And for that you need to stay with me until you meet your father, until we enter the Butterfly's Realm."
