Before Suguru left towards the Gojos' residence, he commanded one of his butterflies to go to the Butterfly's Realm. Knowing full well the rules of their land, his father needed to know beforehand about what he was planning to do in order to receive permission in bringing a human.
The Blue Butterfly already expected that Toji will not be easy to convince, but there was a possibility that he could change his mind if he mentions about the soul of his mother. The White Butterfly had been the only woman the Black Butterfly had ever loved in all the thousands of years he has lived. So if he hears that Satoru can take her place, he immediately will know that she would enter the circle of rebirth and be reborn. Meaning he could see her once again.
Toji was close to the door that leads to the Human Realm when the butterfly found him, stopping him from crossing to the other side. He turned around, not surprised that his son sent one of his butterflies to see him instead of coming personally. Suguru had done this before, but only when he was busy.
"What is it this time, Suguru?" Toji inquired, aware that something happened to the two humans his son cared so much. Being the Black Butterfly he has the task to warn about misfortune and a possible death to the living, hence he knows the identity of the ones soon to die.
Satoru and Riko were two of the humans destined to die days ago, but for some unknown and strange reason one of them escaped from that fate seconds after meeting their demise. Toji could only guess that it was thanks to Suguru, since he was the only one being involved with humans and the only one that has the power to grant a wish.
"I want you to allow for a human to enter the Butterfly's Realm," Suguru went to the point, not wanting to waste time in a useless chat. "But not only that, I want you to give him the eternal blessing in order for him to become one of us. More precisely, the White Butterfly."
Toji frowned, finding really displeasing hearing the words that just left his son's mouth. "Let me guess, the human called Gojo Satoru."
It wasn't a surprise for Suguru that his father knew about his friend. "That's right."
"For what reason did you go to the lengths of causing damage to your soul to save him?"
The Blue Butterfly did not mind answering. "Because I care for Satoru. He became one of the Red Butterfly's victims, so I could not simple just leave him to suffer that kind of fate. After he accepted to die and died in order for his soul to be saved, I fulfilled a wish to stop him from entering the circle of rebirth, managing to bring him back to life. But it is not going to last for much longer, that's why he must become the White Butterfly."
Toji could tell right away that his son wasn't saying the full truth; that he was hiding something about the human's death, but he couldn't imagine that Sukuna was involved, much less about the wish and a future betrayal. The Blue Butterfly doesn't have any intentions in telling him either, since it could turn out for the worst. Not only for him, but for Satoru as well.
Suguru could end up being exiled from the Butterfly's Realm without any mercy, losing the opportunity to save his friend. That's definitely something he must avoid at all cost, at least until Satoru becomes the White Butterfly.
"You know that to become eternally blessed, he must receive the blessing of the White Butterfly as well," the Black Butterfly reminded, deciding to wait for his son to tell him everything that happened when the right time comes. "If he receives only my blessing, then he will not be able to keep his human form for only a determined time in the Human Realm."
"I know, however, it doesn't matter. His life is far more important than anything else. Furthermore, he already accepted to leave his human life behind and become the White Butterfly."
