As soon as the kid agreed to speak inside, the White Butterfly opened the fusuma, letting go of his hand. Megumi was the first one to enter, being followed by Satoru right after.

The entrance looked exactly like a normal human house, nothing out of the ordinary. Because of this, Megumi wondered if it was okay to enter, not imagining at all that Satoru and Suguru used to live here.

Knowing exactly what the child of the unseen is thinking, the White Butterfly decided to tell him a bit of the Blue Butterfly's past. "Before Suguru was chosen to become one of the guardian of the children of the unseen, he used to visit the Human Realm once in awhile out of curiosity."

Megumi turned around as he heard that Satoru started to speak.

"One day, he had an encounter with a human girl and a young man that were able to see the unseen. He quickly managed to form a bond with both of them, since they were so different from the rest of humans. This made Suguru take the decision to visit the Human Realm almost every day in order to pass time with these two humans."

"So that means the Blue Butterfly did not hate the humans at first..." Megumi said out loud, interrupting Satoru.

However, the White Butterfly did not mind, continuing afterwards. "Later on, Suguru fell in love with that human girl, and she did as well. That's why in order to have a life by her side, he granted her a wish."

"Granted a wish... What did she wish for?" Megumi asked, wanting to know more about the past of his brother.

Satoru, just like the shadows, was prohibited to speak about the past of the Blue Butterfly. Although compared to the children, that their tongues were bounded by invisible chains, words can leave his mouth without suffering any kind of consequences.

That's why a part of him did not care to tell everything to Megumi. However, the other part of him, and because of the friendship he once had with Suguru, he did not want to spill everything. He already promised him that he would keep his mouth shut about the past.

Plus, the Blue Butterfly should be the one to tell his brother about everything. For that same reasons, Satoru will skip the most important things and the reason of why his friend fell into a deep darkness.

"Since that girl was a human, she was unable to enter the Butterfly's Realm. That's why in order to be together, she wished for a house where she could live together with Suguru in peace. Suguru thought that the perfect place was here in the shadows' forest."

Since Megumi was born between the union of a human and a unseen being, he did not really think much about it or even find it strange that Suguru and that girl fell in love. And if it wasn't for the fact that the Blue Butterfly is his half brother, he would care even less!

"If this the home of the Blue Butterfly and his lover, where is she?" Megumi out of curiosity wanted to know, aware that the house was empty of any kind of life except for the both of them. Otherwise, Satoru probably would not have entered without permission.

"She passed away a long time ago," Satoru simple said, not reveling anything else.

Megumi wasn't surprised to know the girl died. This is probably when the darkest days of Suguru began. And perhaps when he started to hate the humans. "How did she die?"

"I'm sorry, Megumi. I can't talk any further about Suguru's past," Satoru at the end refused to talk, not wanting to continue to break the promise he made to his friend.

Not being a fool, Megumi quickly understood that someone or something was impeding Satoru to speak about the Blue Butterfly's past, just like Yuji. "That shadow called Yuji, said almost the same thing. He said he wasn't allowed to speak further. Guessing by your answer, could it be that the Blue Butterfly did something to keep both of you silent?"
