Megumi and Satoru left the house as soon as they rested a bit, appearing at the entrance of the Cursed Forest with the help of their butterflies. Since time passes more slowly in the shadows' forest, Tsumiki had already left days ago.

The child of the unseen wasn't aware of this, so he looked at his surroundings in case his grandmother did not listen to him. But, of course, she wasn't around.

Satoru had noticed this, aware of who exactly the kid was looking for, but he did not have the intention of explaining anything to him. If Megumi ended up knowing that time passes more slowly in the shadows' forest, then for sure his worry for Toge will only increase. And probably he will be blamed for wasting precious time!

"We should get going, Megumi," the White Butterfly said, holding out his hand for the kid to take it.

By the mention of his name, Megumi looked at Satoru. This time he did not have any intention of refusing, taking his hand. But before they entered the forest, there was something he needed to say. "I think I should apologize."

For some reason he felt the urge to say sorry for his actions in this precise moment. Perhaps not knowing what could happen once they enter the Cursed Forest, made him realize that this could be his only chance.

His sudden words stopped the White Butterfly from taking a single step, not really sure why the child of the unseen wanted to apologize. Actually, he had an idea of what it could be, but he still wanted to hear it from him in order to confirm it. "For what?"

"For my actions. If I had just accepted and taken your hand to go to the Butterfly's Realm, none of this would be happening right now," a wave of guilt gripped the child of the unseen's heart. "And to tell you the truth, I regretted it the moment I came back from the shadows' forest. It was in that instant that made me realize that I could put in danger the life of someone dear to me. Today is not the exception. You and that shadow are going to risk your lives to help me save Toge. That's why, I hope you can forgive me."

"There is no need for you to apologize, Megumi," Satoru did not want hear an apology. He understood how much the kid loved his grandmother by his actions that he never got mad about it, not even when that meant to face the Red Butterfly. At first, he thought that he was going to regret letting him go back to the Human Realm, but that did not happen. And probably, never will, since he started to enjoy being by his side.

What's more, it did not come as a surprise when the child of the unseen said that he wanted to return to the side of his grandmother. Most humans and unseen beings would have done the same thing when they have someone they love and care for, so it was impossible for the White Butterfly to blame him for that. Plus, it is in everyone's nature to make mistakes sometimes.

"I still wanted to apologize," Megumi insisted, still thinking that every bad thing that happened until now was his fault. "If it wasn't for my wrong decisions, you would not have to face the Red Butterfly and for sure your task of escorting me to the Butterfly's Realm would have already ended."

Although, the kid wasn't wrong, the White Butterfly never saw it that way. The only one to blame is Sukuna! He should be the only one to feel guilty of his actions and repent! Since if it wasn't for him, then the children of the Black Butterfly would have never had to suffer such cruel fate.

That's why Megumi's words bothered Satoru, wanting to comfort him once again. "You should stop blaming yourself. Nothing that happened until now had been your fault. And no matter how much you regret it, nothing will change. However, it makes me happy knowing that you are worried about me, since that means that you truly care about me," without thinking much, he brought Megumi closer to him, not stopping until his lips meet his forehead.
