Aurora
"Happy birthday Mommy! I got you this one." I happily took the gift bag from Layla. Opening it to find a drawing and a necklace inside.
"Thank you baby. I love it." The party was coming to an end soon, the only thing left to do being opening gifts. After doing so, I was cleaning up after everybody with the help of Odyssey. Everyone else had gone back upstairs.
I walked into the kitchen to find Harry and Odysseus sharing a drink while they talked. They both turned to me as soon as I stepped into the space. Awkwardly I went around the two, dumping the used foam plates in the trash bin. I was almost certain they were watching my every move, I could feel their eyes on the back of my neck. It was uncomfortable to say the least.
As I turned around to leave the kitchen I was stopped by both Harry and Odysseus. They stood in the doorway, blocking the only escape route I had. I took a step back and looked up at them. "Is there a problem?"
Odysseus was first to speak up, "Can we talk? It'll only take a few minutes." I looked between the two, debating whether this was a good idea or not. Of course the right answer wasn't the right answer. I simply nodded in response. I walked back over to the counter, Harry and Odysseus following suite. They stood on each opposite sides of me. Harry to my left and Odysseus to my right. It was overwhelming all the while kind of exciting.
"How long do you plan on playing this little game of yours Aurora?" Harry asked.
I steered away from making eye contact with either of them, it'll only make this interrogation harder on me. "It's not a game." They hummed in synchronism. Odysseus reached for my hand, tangling his fingers through mine, "We can't keep doing this Aurora."
I turned to him then to Harry. They seemed to be in agreement, but I wasn't ready to let go. My attention averted to the space in-front of us. I carefully reached over for Harry's hand, lacing his fingers with mine and holding him tightly as well. How did I get in the middle of this? Having to choose between two incredible men. Although it was hard, it wasn't impossible. I have a clear decision of who I see myself with in the future. I knew who I wanted. I know who I want to be with for the rest of my life. The person I would one day call my husband. The thing is, I wasn't sure if the choice I was making was the right one. He's everything I could ask for and more, but what if the person I want isn't the one I need. I needed more time. More time to think. More time to spend with both Harry and Odysseus. When I make my decision I want it to be crystal clear. The right one. It wasn't time for me to make such a big decision. Not yet. Even if I did have a clear decisions of who I want.
"Give me time."
Harry let go of my hand. He brought his hand up to my face, discreetly tucking strands of hair behind my ear, "How much time?"
"Four months. In four months I will give you both an answer. Please, be patient with me." Neither Harry or Odysseus said anything. It worried me a bit. Odysseus let go of my hand, but nodded "Okay."
I turned to Harry, awaiting his response as well. He walked towards the exit of the kitchen before turning back around to me, "Four months." and with that he was gone. I let out a deep breath, thankful they both agreed to give me the time I needed.
I sat down at the table in hopes to control the nerves going down in my stomach. Odysseus sat down beside me. He once again took my hand in his, bringing it to his lips and letting them linger on the back of my hand. Shortly after he brought my hand back down and placed his other ontop of mine, holding me tightly with both his hands. "I hope you make the right decision Aurora, but just know whatever you choose to do, if in the end you realize Harry Styles is the guy you want to spend the rest of your life with, I want you to know I'll always be there for you. For Layla. Whenever you need me I'll always only be a phone call away and no matter what, I'll always love you."
I leaned closer to him, wrapping my arms around his neck and resting my head against his chest. Odysseus always knew the right things to say to make me feel better. All the more reason as to why I was conflicted. He constantly reminded me of just how much he loves me. I've never actually heard Harry tell me he was in love with me. It only made me question whether he was or not. What if he was still in love with Priscilla? We've already establish I'm in no position of competing with her. She was much more worthy of Harry's love than I was.
I lifted my head from his chest and gracefully connected my lips with his. He placed his hands on both sides of my cheeks and pressed harder against my lips. The kiss was everything I ever imagined and more. It was completely different from when I kissed Harry. In a good way.
The kiss was short ended. I pressed my forehead against his and closed my eyes, "I hope I make the right decisions as well." I stood up from the chair, leaving him in the kitchen to continue my cleaning. As I entered the living room, I spotted Harry and Odyssey in a corner whispering to each other before parting ways. It was suspicious to say the least. Last I remember Odyssey wanted nothing to do with Harry. I made my way over to him.
He smiled as I approached him. "Hey you."
"Hey you." I responded.
Harry leaned against the wall and pulled me into his arms. I relaxed in his touch, feeling secure. "What were you talking about with Odyssey?"
I looked up at his, awaiting a response. He ran his fingers against my cheek then tucked my hair behind my ear "Nothing important." I hummed curiously, but decided not to question him any further.
"You are so beautiful Aurora." I smiled at the complement as the heat rose to my face. He ran his knuckled against my cheek before taking a hold of my face and kissing me. I gently gripped on his hair as I melted into the kiss. It was gentle and made me feel warm inside.
"I love you Harry." I buried my face in his shoulder. As much as I hoped for a response, one never came. Instead he wrapped his arms around me, pulling me closer to his body and holding me tightly.
