Aurora
I woke up to the smell of food lingering around the atmosphere. Opening my eyes, I was met face to face with a tray of breakfast and flowers, along with Elijah smiling down at me from his side of the bed, "Good morning beautiful."
"Good morning handsome." I smiled. I sat up on his bed, resting my back against the headboard. "Breakfast in bed?" he questioned feverishly. I gave him a slight nod and a wide smile. He picked up the flower bouquet and handed them to me. Gladly taking them, I took a sniff and smiled. They had a sweet smell to them. "Thank you baby. I appreciate it truly."
"Anything for you my princess." After using the bathroom to brush my teeth, I went back into the bed and enjoyed the breakfast Elijah made.
"We have a long day ahead of us." He reminded me. I let out a groan. I did not want to think about today's events. Elijah insisted on meeting my parents. I've already met his and it was a success to say the least. They were the sweetest ever and it went better then I could have ever imagined.
I turned to him with a pout, "Do you have to meet my parents?"
"I don't have to if you don't want me to, but I would love to know the parents of the beautiful women I will soon be calling my wife."
"Okay, but must I warn you, they can be a bit too brutally honest. Especially my mother, I'm sorry in advance for anything she might say." I was more afraid of my mother hating Elijah completely. Although he isn't a hatable person, he was the most precious thing ever, but my mother always found a way. Always. I wanted to keep Elijah away from her negativity for as long as I could but it was only a matter of time.
"I think I can take it." He smiled wholeheartedly.
"I know you can, but you don't have to."
"It's okay baby, you don't have to worry about me. Besides, mothers are suckers for me, I'm sure your mom will love me in the matter of minutes. I'm irresistible."
I rolled my eyes at his sarcastic arrogance and laughed, "If you insist." I stood up from the bed, going over to his closet to find something to where from my duffle bag. I roamed through the bag, tossing around the outfits I know for a fact my mother would disapprove of.
I held out two dresses and turned to Elijah, "Which one?" He stood up from the bed, walking over to me. He placed his fist under his chin and looked between the two dresses in a deep thinking manner. The first dress was a black high low, off the shoulder one, whereas the second one was an ankle length, long sleeve, satin bronze wrap dress.
"The satin one brings out your eyes, but the black one enhances your hair color."
"So the black one?"
"No, go with the bronze. You look breath taking in satin." I put away the black dress, going with the satin one instead. I stripped out of the oversized shirt, letting it fall to my feet. I took the dress, pulling it over my head and letting it flow down my body. Elijah walked up behind me and securely wrapped his arms around my waist. I smiled as he placed a gentle kiss on the side of my neck.
"You are so beautiful." He whispered in my ear. I turned around to face him, wrapping my arms around his neck and pressing my forehead against his. "And you are so handsome." He took my hand, carefully placing it over his chest. "You make my heart race." I pressed my hand harder against his chest, trying to feel the rhythm of his heart beat. It was soothing and beating ever so carefully.
I brought my hands up to his hair, brushing my fingers through it. He placed his thumb under my chin, lifting it before placing a chaste kiss on my lips. "I can't wait to make the most memorable memories with you and our future kids."
I looked at him cynically "Our kids?"
"Two boys and three girls."
"You've thought of our future kids?" I questioned him curiously.
"All the time."
"I don't want to change what we have right now. It's perfect, just me and you."
He brushed strands of hair from my face, slightly smiling at me, "Change is inevitable babygirl. Besides having kids of our own isn't necessarily changing us, only extending us. Don't you want that?"
"Of course I do. I've thought about our future kids many times before as well, I wasn't sure how you felt about it."
"I already have names picked out."
"Really?"
"Hell yeah."
"Can you share them with me?"
"Our boys they will be named Assad and Marcellus. Assad meaning lion and Marcellus meaning warrior. Two of our girls will be named Aya meaning miracle and Tahira meaning pure. I left the other for you to name if you had anything in mind."
"What about Layla? It means night in Arabic,"
He cupped my face with his hands then pressed his lips against my forehead, "It's perfect."
