Aaghyaa's P.O.V.
~~~
No sooner had Maa left for work, than I rushed to my room and opened my laptop.
I opened the Google search and did some research.After about an hour, I called mom.
"Maa?"
"Yeah?"
"I need you to come home early today."
"And why is that?"
"I have planned something. A surprise. Kinda.", I blabbered.
I refused to tell her despite her thousand attempts to get it out of my mouth and cut the call.
Immediately after, I got another call.I 'tsk'ed but picked it up anyway.
"Hello?"
"Yo."
"What's up?", I asked.
"You still up for that scooty lessons?"
"Now?!", I asked incredulously.
"Uh-huh. My exams got over. Plus, I am free."
"Uhh.....", I eyed the incomplete sentence on the search bar.
Oh come on Aaghyaa, you can do this afterwards!
Just go with him right now!I bit my lip and said, "Okay! Yeah...yeah! Okay!"
He chuckled and told me to come down in two minutes.
I ditched my laptop, tied my freshly washed hair into a high ponytail, put on my shoes and locked the house.
By the time I shut the gates of the house, Alfaaz was waiting for me just outside, leaning on the front side of his black scooty."Ready?", he straightened up.
"As ready as I was!"
"Okay, so you do know how to ride a cycle, haina?", he asked.
"Obviously."
"So, you might be knowing how to balance a two-wheeler, right?"
He asked and got down from the vehicle with his hands still on the handle to prevent it from falling."Duh!", I rolled my eyes, took control of the handle from him and sat on the vehicle.
Of course, I knew how to balance!
What does he think I am? A five year-"Woah!"
I swayed right and left before completely loosing my balance and the scooty tilted dangerously towards the left.
With his ever-so-perfect timing, Alfaaz grabbed the left handle single-handedly.He nodded once and pursed his lips.
"Yes. You know how to balance. Sure.""Shut up! This isn't my fault! Your...your scooty's a little too heavy!"
Who am I kidding?"Seriously, Aaghyaa. Stop blaming others and learn sincerely if you want to. Otherwise, I am going."
The serious look on his face made me shut up and look down.
Yeah, well, it was my fault, actually.He shook his head and sighed.
"So, this is the accelerator, and this is the button where you adjust your lights for night vision."
He pointed first to the right handle and then to the button beside it.
"Then, this is just for your support, this has nothing to do with anything. And this is where you press the horn."
He showed me the left handle and then pressed the horn control that was just beside it.
"The right brake is for the back wheel and the left, for the front one. We usually use the left one and very rarely, the right. So, that's that."
