I decide to put my hair up in a high ponytail for school. I usually don't wear it that high but I want things to change this year so I thought I may as well stat with my hair, right?
My hair looks quite nice high, it shows more of my face and I like it that way. It makes my hazel colored eyes look more shaped, like almonds. My hair is so thick and wavy and it looks really cool when it's up. I hope Abby likes it. Her hair is quite short, it only just reaches her shoulders but it suits it because her hair is a really dark blonde, almost brown.
Skylar decides to wear her hair down. Her hair is quite long like mine and reaches halfway down her back. Skylar's hair is blonde, like a really beachy colored blonde. I love her hair! She is really pretty, and quite slim too. I actually don't know why she hasn't even had her first kiss yet but neither have I so...
We both start to get dressed in our school uniform. I quite like our uniform. We have to wear high socks, a plain white collared t-shirt and a navy blue skirt that has to be halfway down our thighs but none of the popular girls wear it that long, they all pull the skirt up so its shorter than the others and they tuck their shirts into their skirts. Everyone else is scared to wear their uniform like that because if they do the popular girls will judge them and nobody wants that since we are an all girl school. Well kind of an all girl school. We have a boy school with the same name as our school but we don't take classes together, they have a separate buildings across the road but we get to combine our lunch times and assembly's with them. The popular's from the boys side of the school hangs with the popular's from our side of the school. PJ is in that group, so every lunchtime PJ and Abby go make out right in front of where Skylar and I sit and I swear they do it just to mock me. It works.
We go down for breakfast and i have my usual banana smoothie and so does Skylar. We are so similar, I love it.
On the car ride to school, Skylar and I talk about how we will miss the Christmas holidays and how the water at the beach was always so warm and how we will miss exploring the Byron Bay beaches and trying to find the best surfer and watch them on the waves. We really want to be able to surf but none of the girls at our school do... Well Abby and them don't, so we don't.
We finally arrive at school and my mum drops me and Skylar off at the front gate. I already spot Abby and PJ holding hands, talking to the rest of the group just inside of the gates. As i get out of the car my mum yells out "Macey honey! You forgot your sandwich, I cut it in triangles just how you like it!"
Are you kidding me, did that actually just happen? I swear she still thinks I'm a child!
"Thanks mum" I say quietly not trying to be rude but trying to ignore the fact that Abby and their entire group are laughing at me. Same with Skylar, but I don't blame her, I would be too if that happened to her.
I roll my eyes and walk into the gates making sure to give a small smile at Abby when she looks at me.
Skylar is walking next to me. As we walk and start to notice everyone talking and telling stories about their holidays. I miss the holidays already.
A message runs through the speaker system saying "all students please start making your way to the assembly hall for the welcome back to school assembly".
"I guess we better go to the assembly hall then" Skylar says with her arms crossed and an annoyed expression on her face.
"Yep, school has OFFICIALLY BEGUN," I say with the same annoyed expression but trying not to sound cheesy.
