Chapter 29

It's finally Wednesday night! My birthday is officially in 4 hours! I text Luke good night. I go to sleep thinking about what my last thought should be as a 16 year old. I don't want to overthink this, I shouldn't even be thinking about it anyway. I look out through the window and see the clear sky. Its incredible to think that there are so many other galaxies' out there, probably worlds just like mine. The stars are twinkling. My eyes get heavier as I fall asleep. The universe is such an amazing place; it makes me go really in depth when I think about it.

I wake up to my mum and sister sitting on my bed.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY MACEY!" they say in sync.

"Aw thank you!"

"We made you pancakes for breakfast!" Jade yells!

"Really! Yum, ill just get into my uniform and head down stairs, ill be down in like 10 minutes," I say.

"Sure, see u soon," my mum says and jade and her exit the room. I check the time and its 5:30am! It's so early! Wait that's right! I have my drivers test this morning before school! I quickly put my hair in a ponytail and put on my uniform and head downstairs. I see a large stack of pancakes on the table with maple syrup and ice cream with bananas. We all sit around the table and eat the pancakes and talk about what we are going to do tonight.

Once we finish eating, I head to the garage; I don't want to be late for my driving test. Jade and my mum follow me to the garage and as I open the door, I see a brand new white Audi Cabriolet with a massive red ribbon on it. This is so cool! MY OWN CAR! WOW!!!

"OH MY GOSH MUM! THANKYOU SO MUCH! THIS IS AMAZING! I LOVE IT SO MUCH! I'm SO EXCITED!!!"

"Your welcome darling, I hope you love it!"

"I love it so much!" I say and give her a massive hug. I take my phone out to take a photo of it when I see a text from Luke. Skylar wouldn't be awake yet so I'm not expecting a text from her. 

'Happy birthday Macey! I cant wait to see you at school today, good luck on your driving test, I hope you pass, will I still see you before school?' he sends.

'Thank you! And yes I am coming early, cant wait to see you too'. I hit send and take a photo of my new car.

"Mum, where's your car?" I ask because her car isn't in sight.

"I drove it over to the driving school last night and caught a cab home, just incase you pass, I want you to drive on your own to school for the first time," she says. That's so sweet how she thought of that.

"Thanks mum! That's so thoughtful, should we get going now? Not to rush everything, but I'm just so excited to drive the car!" I say excitedly.

"Yes sure thing," she says and smiles as she opens the garage door I walk to the front of the car and take the ribbon off before seeing the customized black number plate that says 'MAC3Y'. That's so clever! It says Macey but the E is a 3! I'm so excited. "That's so cool mum!" I say and look over to her. I smile and she does the same. I get in the car to see black leather seats. This is so cool! I turn the engine on and it sounds so smooth and powerful! I'm so excited to drive this. I am nervous to drive it but I am pretty experienced now so I should be fine. I put the car into reverse and drive out of the house and onto the street. The car is so smooth to drive, the wheel turns so nicely. This is such a nice car and I can't believe its all mine! It must have been so expensive to buy, and for my first car it's pretty amazing!

I am sitting in the driving school, waiting for my instructor to come and bring me to his car. I'm so nervous! I have studied really hard so I really hope I get my license.
