Everyday (on hold)

chapter 13

We run as fast as we can trying to escape from Abby seeing us. When we finally can't see her in sight anymore, we stop running and then we realise that we have no idea where we are. We are in some sort of alleyway, I feel like I'm in a movie or something. It's so scary! Its s dark and there is barely anyone here except random people smoking something, which is most likely weed. We grab ahold of each other scared out of our brains and we start to walk slowly down the alleyway. I feel like every step we take, we just get closer and closer to something popping out at us or some murderer coming to rape us. I take slow breaths and keep walking forward. We start to see the end of the alleyway so we start walking quicker, saying no words, just looking to get out of the drug alley. 

We finally reach the end of the alley and we see another big tunnel and next to it is a small gap between the tunnel and the wall next to it. Skylar seems very intrigued by it and decides to pull me through the gap. It starts off very tight and slim but gets wider and wider as we go through. A minute later it leads us into this random place and I have never seen anything like it. It is like some sort of park. There is nobody here, like not even one person and the scenery is beautiful! I don't think anyone knows this place. There is a tiny stream/river running through the park. It is crystal clear and aqua blue and it makes you want to jump in! I feel like I'm in another country, or better yet, another world. The whole place is closed off by tunnels and fences so you can't see anything outside the park, it feel so amazing. The grass is so green and luscious and there is a big willow tree that looks at least 100 years old. It's so pretty, I love willow trees, they are my favorite type of tree. I love how they look so magical and wise, they make my stomach flutter, I love it. I think Skylar and I will have to come here all the time. This can be our new place.

We walk around the small yet big park and look at all the unusual yet beautiful nature around us and admire it. This is the most magical place I have ever been to. 

"This place is so beautiful," Skylar says

"I know! I feel like I am in a dream" I reply

"We need to name it, it can be our own private world that nobody can know about" She says and spins around letting her arms loose

"yes! what should we name it?"

"why don't we just call it willow, because of the big willow tree!"

"yes I love it! I say, "willow park, it sounds so magical and secretive, I love it. I'm so happy that we get to have a place now, like our special place" she says and I nod my head in agreement

there is something about this place that I love so much. I feel safe, I feel loved and I feel like I finally have peace.

we spend hours there talking and laughing and then we realise the time. its 2:30 so we should be getting back to pick up Jade from her party. we start to head back to the passage way and through the small gap between the tunnel and the wall and run back down the alleyway. as we start to get closer to the party, Skylar spots my mum.

"hey Mace, isn't that your mum?"

"yeah, I thought she was at work today but she isn't wearing her work clothes or even in her work clothes, I'm so confused" I say

"omg she is with some guy! and they are making out! ooh juicy!!!" she says and nudges me

we stand there and watch her and I am quite disgusted but kinda proud of her at the same time, she has a boyfriend! I can't believe it, and she hasn't even told me! I wonder if jade knows. We wait until they stop kissing to try and see who the mystery guy is. as they pull away from each other, Skylar says

"OH MY GOD, is that........... MY DAD!"
